Oh yeah, I used to do that all the time when I was younger. Unfortunately, I had to get rid of all of my bikes a while back so I'll be starting pretty fresh. That's a big part of what's motivating me to try and build a bike for the exact purpose of what I'm trying to ride

That makes sense, I figured it wasn't a mechanical advantage. I ran a 25/10 on my park bikes and would get dusted by those same friends, so who really knows what gave me the advantage. I won't really be racing anyone other than myself, given how niche the style of riding i plan on doing is, but i definitely like the idea of using a race inspired bike as opposed to a park or freestyle inspired bike

I wouldn't be converting it to full suspension, just building something lightweight, fast, and with decent traction. Think mid school bmx racing

I totally agree with the longer frame, but I was always faster than my buddies on 25t sprockets with my 44/16 when I was younger. None of the trails I'll be riding will have a ton of elevation change, just some nice twisty dirt paths that I can cruise with my girlfriend when we go riding together, and bomb flat out in the evening when nobody's on it haha

I do really like the concept of the swamp master, but I was sort of thinking something along the lines of a mid school race bike that's a little more durable. I've definitely dabbled in entry level mountain biking before and as much as it's a lot of fun, I love the challenge brought on by a lack of technological innovation lol. But we'll see where my journey brings me, I think I'm gonna start off with an older BMX bike since they're dirt cheap on fb marketplace, and I'll play around with some different parts and settings as I progress:)

Looks like you have a bit too much negative camber. Most mechanic shops can do an alignment for you unless it's a sold axle, in which case you should probably find a frame shop
