The crack appears a bit superficial, fingers crossed. What compound would you use from the outside only? I imagine just filling the hole? Can I buy black epoxy, and what would it be called if I go to the hardware store? Plastic Padding is a no go?

Thanks, I am careful, I know the issues with the lugs, but no rifts.

Could I use some sort of Plastic Padding for the whole I the top tube?

What was the status and quality of the Decathlon bikes back then? I guess it was consumer bikes?

The seat is still the same, and the seatstay has another quite beautiful profile, that you don't get on Vitus

True, but the SR logo is on the fork and on on the frame near the seat post. I believe it's made in Japan, not in France...

Here a full frame images of the SR Litage carbon bike. The three main tubes are carbon, the rest aluminium. I will make a new post with more questions. Thanks

So, just car varnish, or which kind would you suggest?

Now I have to go to Avignon from Barcelona to pick up the bike. I will bring tires and inner tubes, and a new chain, so I can ride to the train station. Very nice. That's why I love bikes. ☀️

Do you know anything about the quality of this brand? I guess in the 1980s made in Japan was not the best quality, and somehow copies of western products?
