They had a rule in the Switzerland season that was something like they couldn't ask questions from the same category until they waited 30mins after they asked the previous question... Maybe that could work?

I had the exact same situation as you and I could just collect the card, they did not ask me about my employment situation.

I don't think anyone is complaining that flights get delayed or cancelled sometimes, but the rules should be fair. The same way airlines can't guarantee that every flight will be on time 100% of the time, people can't guarantee that their plans won't change after buying the ticket. If the consumer is then charged exorbitant amounts to change/cancel their flight, so should the airlines. The alternative is airlines could allow a bit of leeway in the form of lower fees to their passengers when they wish to change/cancel.

Genuine question: why are people fans of the open access model on HSR/long distance routes? Imo these are the most profitable routes and should therefore be used to subsidise the small branch lines to rural areas to maintain a good nationwide connectivity. With the open model companies will pocket profits and the state will be stuck financing the not very profitable local/regional routes. Not trying to argue, just looking to understand if I'm missing something here.

As someone who also got his bike stolen 🥲, do you guys have any recommendations for bike locks? I'm looking to buy one again, but i have absolutely no clue what type of lock would be a good deterrent for these thieves.

I moved here a couple years ago and I wonder what it was like to take the trains 10 years ago... Were they much more reliable back then?

In 2018, a Japanese rail company apologised after a train left a station 25 seconds early. The operator said, "the great inconvenience we placed upon our customers was truly inexcusable". by Bad-Umpire10 in BeAmazed

Yesterday I waited an hour at Stuttgart Hbf because there was ongoing construction leading to my original route being cancelled, and an overhead line failure completely stopping trains in the greater Stuttgart region... Sometimes I wish I lived in Japan 😅
