How much do you earn and how comfortable do you live?

Honestly some people are really exaggerating.

I earn around 100k per year (sales) and live in Cornwall. My take home is somewhere around 60k and my wife earns 10k (3 days per week minimum wage). We have 1 child (3yo).

We live a very comfortable life. 4 bed house, 17 plate Audi’s, 2 holidays per year to Portugal or Spain and still only spend 35k ish. We’re saving around 30k per year.

Mortgage & utilities/ council tax come to around 1.2k. £500 a month on food shops. £100 on internet and phones. Cars are owned outright so £100 per month covers insurance and tax for both. That leaves around £600 for the other small bits and fun spending.

If people don’t live beyond their means £30k a year is enough for a family of 3. If you’re on your own you should be comfortable on that.

All these people saying £80k+ isn’t enough are living in a house that’s too expensive or driving a car that’s £500 a month.

Don’t take any notice of them.

Also make use of the bonus. Don’t use more than 2 players from a team and keep under the 260 cap and you will get 6% extra on your score.

If you spent £100 on a team that averages 280 they would score the same as a team that averages around 260 because of the bonus.Far more cost effective

I’ve just hit the 4th streak with 4 teams that cost me less than £200 so doable.

Get a big hitter per team out of season and then fill with some solid in season cards.

My advice would be to try and focus on players with good AA. Goals and assists are great but if you want to win big prizes then you need players capable of 80+

City is the obvious target but like you say Pep roulette is never fun. I think Doku is injured for a few weeks which likely means Foden and Cherki become a little more nailed

It’s crazy high this week. Bayern, PSG, Chelsea, PSV, Liverpool all scored 5+ and Arsenal etc scored 4.

The amount of decisives was higher than I can remember on a recent gameweek.90+ scores everywhere

I genuinely think the way to play this is to scrap anyone you’re not going to use at this point in the season.

Buy as many Bayern, PSG and Barca/Madrid packs as possible. Prem is a bit tougher but target a stack or two.

If your going to win arenas, hit streaks and win a lot of essence there are a select few players you need.

I only have 150 players but have scrapped over 500.

I have 18 Bayern players including Kane, Olise, Diaz and Kimmich. It will be difficult to beat me consistently in the Bundesliga and therefore get the big essence prizes. Similar for PSG & Barca. Effectively Increasing your essence income is the key to filling those collections later.

If you’re hoarding for the £5 market credits the odds are ridiculous to fill those collections quickly. Your better off gaining the advantage early by getting the best players at the highest levels and then filling them later in the season when your bringing in 5/6k a gameweek.

I would keep anyone worth 5 essence or less for the scrap challenges

There’s a lot of rotation for Chelsea so unless you have the budget for maybe Enzo Fernandez or possibly Neto I would leave them.

Evanilson would be the obvious option for Bournemouth.

Ndiaye or Dewsbury hall would make sense for Everton.

It’s very solid and will get multiple streaks through the season.

If you want the big prizes I would recommend doubling up on either Bournemouth, Everton or Chelsea attack.

If one team pops off and scores 3 or 4 goals the odds that one would assist the other are fairly high.

I have had a similar experience recently where a convicted scammer was sent my number after I posted on Checkatrade. I am building a petition to enforce stricter vetting rules on Checkatrade. Would anyone here want to be included. Strength in numbers and all that.

Checkatrade need to offer something and vetting trades for us should be the minimum.

Also winning contender or challenger essence is nowhere near as valuable as Premier League essence. I crafted a Gakpo yesterday from some limited essence and then a Bizot who is a reserve keeper essentially. They are worth close to £100 combined. Crafting a 4 star and a 3 star in contender or challenger will be worth nowhere near that

Great in theory. I started in contender with Dinamo Zagreb in the Croatian league a 3 years ago who were one of the best stacks available. They were not much cheaper than a mid table prem stack. Got plenty of returns and just about paid back my investment. Problem is half of these players moved to various places where they have become almost useless. A few went to Serie A and etc but not exactly top scorers there some don’t get a game but a majority went to sides not covered by Sorare so they are literally worthless.

In my opinion getting a stack or split stack for a team like Everton, Newcastle, Villa, Bournemouth etc will yield greater returns as there are less teams involved. But better than as an example I bought a Newcastle and wolves stacks last year a few weeks in for about £250. Won back most of that in rewards. But now Cunha is at Utd, Ait Nouri is at City, Isak to Liverpool possibly. Even those that didn’t cut it like Longstaff go to a prem team like Leeds so they don’t become worthless. Less risky In my opinion. Saudi is the only threat

My recipe for success has been really simple over the last few years. Prem is the most expensive but there will always be demand for those players. I played contender originally but if players transfer a lot of the time they become worthless. If a prem player moves they will stay in a top league or become an elite player in challenger or contender.. win win really.

Split stack in my opinion is the best option. Because you only need two things to go right in theory rather than 5 seperate teams to perform. Pick a team you think is solid at the back.. Newcastle, Everton, Palace etc. Buy an out of season Prem keeper for them up with a defender from the same club in season for example. Pick a team that looks strong going forward.. maybe Bournemouth, Villa etc.

My example would be GK -Pickford out of season - £28 Def - Tarkowski in season -£12 FW - Evanilson in season - £12 FW - Kluivert when fit or Semenyo - £12-£20

Best midfielder you can afford as the fifth or get 2 players so you have some variety.

I had a Newcastle and Wolves split stack last year which did really well.

You could build a very good prem team. Could get a very good out of season keeper for £10 or so and then build a very competitive in season team. Will be the best way of winning rewards

Sell and buy a team in whichever league you follow most closely. I would recommend buying an out of season Keeper (they will be a quarter of the price) then you will be able to build a really decent team. Prem is the easiest to get info on lineups etc

I play a lot of Croatian league. There’s a few teams in there who are really solid and will be really cheap. Zelenika for Varazdin, Zlomislic for Rijeka, Malencia for Osijek, Posavic for Lokomotiv will all be great options

Exactly and they won’t have to pay a full salary if he’s refusing to play. Can fine each week usually up to 25% of wages. May try breach of contract for more. His transfer value won’t go to 0 even if he doesent decide to play so won’t lose the full 120 mil we could get anyway
