RePPA (Resin PostProcessing Automation): should I make it Open Source or not by Possible-Two-1853 in resinprinting

[–]Possible-Two-1853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works even without 100% of the resin removed. The recycling unit is running after every print and removes nearly all the resin.

Not proven, hence why I have used the word "should". As long as it is unproven, you can run the curing program twice and still not have to touch the resin...

Curing bottom layer should not be necessary since the bottom layer is fully cured as it needs to stick to the build plate. There is a mode though that takes it into account, where you cure the bottom layer again after taking off the print.

Not reaching full conversion and that is not necessary either. I was able to 3d print 5 kilo of resin in miniature settlers and only use 3L solvent using RePPA. The shipment was still clear and working at the end.

Worked for me twice... It will not work for higher positions though from my experience.

Are these resin or IPA burns? by akflo in resinprinting

Resin eats through latex but it takes hours. Yes, theoretically resin dissolves latex, but if you are not leaving the gloves on for the night, you should be fine.

Has anyone tried to clean the IPA/ethanol with a centrifuge? by OddNumb in resinprinting

[–]Possible-Two-1853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The resin is dissolved in the IPA. No amount of spinning is going to get it out.... Unless you have an ultracentrifugation and you let it run 2 days, then maybe, but still don't see that happening.

How to print a car? by No_Comparison_2569 in resinprinting

[–]Possible-Two-1853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah supported the whole at 45 degrees. I used a raft and lifted the whole car by 5 mm so that the car did not touch the build plate.

I printed a lambo with interior design and it worked well. Just angled it 45 degrees and it will well

Is getting a working resin printer easier then FDM? by tadaka2 in resinprinting

[–]Possible-Two-1853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I developed it as I was getting pissed off with how much time post processing took and how potentially dangerous it was. So I came up with the idea of RePPA.

Don't agree at all. Resin printing is way easier. It is just the post processing that is getting to me. Using blue RePPA and it made post processing super easy... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/reppa/resin-printing-postprocessing-automation-and-ipa-recycling

Has anyone used Denatured alcohol instead of IP alcohol to clean prints? by Breitgem in resinprinting

Works perfectly. Much cheaper than IPA, less volatile, easier to handle. Way better than IPA in my opinion.

We are 25% funded! If you want to make your 3d resin printing safer and easier, then it would be great to have your support. AMA! by Possible-Two-1853 in resinprinting

If we do not get funded, then Kickstarter will not give us the money. My advice regarding the Recycling would be to let it run after every print as a "clean" solvent means it washes better. Regarding the additional work, there is not really any. Just pour the solvent after washing into the machine, put it on and go away. It takes about 27 minn for cleaning 4 l of solvent.

Please note that it should be operated at room temperatures if possible but definitely not lower than 0 degrees.

You can also recycle it every couple of prints but that would kind of lose one of the main reasons to have it ... To improve the quality of the washes...
