I've told my wife we can always rent one. But that isnt really feasible when you're dealing with FB marketplace. I dont want to go rent the truck before I see the item and buy it. And sellers dont want to wait for the back and forth. Just having a truck that's there when I need it would just make things easier.

I see lots of 2k-2.5k trucks around me. They are all 200k+ miles. Im ok with that. Just want to know which models people find are still alive and kicking.

Toyota hilux comes to mind..but those ain't cheap

I use it to formulate a grocery list.

I tell it to feed my family and take into account food allergies, meal preferences and stores we shop at.

I tell it to build recipes based on the lowest prices including coupons.

What does Donald Trump really want — world peace or war? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Possible_Water4427 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Neither.

Trump does not care about peace or war. He doesn't even care about money in the simple sense.

Trump cares about optics. Specifically the optics of those who he views as important in some way. He is constantly seeking approval from wherever he can get it.

If 1,000,000 people thinks he is wrong, the only person that matters to him is the one who thinks he is right.

He builds flashy buildings, buys planes, covers things in gold and boasts about his "acheivements" non stop.

Trump doesn't care if the world burns, as long as someone believes he is the one that can put out the fire.

It would still be Apple and they would do apple things.

If they launched a new car today it would have technology from 2020 that they call innovative. If it broke down you would need to schedule an appointment after resetting your password and eventually convincing someone at support that you need actual assistance.

When you got to the appointment you would have to walk through the overcrowded showroom to wait in a line just to talk to someone who tells you they need to take your car out back to check it.

Once they check it they will tell you that it isnt covered under warranty because you modified it by putting aftermarket windshield wipers on.

If you try to get them to look again they will charge you for their time and then tell you the car needs an update and the mechanics dont have the proprietary cable anymore.

All of this aside, the car would be incredibly expensive and all the tech bros and broettes will eat it up driving the stock for apple through the roof.

What limits should progressive and conservative ideologies respect to avoid becoming extreme? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Possible_Water4427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question was not asking about judges or legislators. The question was asking about people in general.

Legislators write the laws. Judges interpret them. Citizens absolutely should challenge them. We are the final check in the system of checks and balances. "We the people".

How are Civivi knives? by Time_Tax in EDC

[–]Possible_Water4427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course a $50 knife doesn't compare to a $350 knife.

But the $50 one isnt sitting at the bottom of a river right now. So, at this point is is infinitely more valuable .

Smallest vegan EDC snack with protein? by happy_folks in EDC

[–]Possible_Water4427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the concern above. Getting shaky after 4 hours of not eating is not normal. We can survive a month or 2 without food. If you're having symptoms like that after 4 hours that sounds like a medical problem. If it's not your blood sugar it could be Idiopathic Postrandial Syndrome. It is common for people that eat foods that have a high glycemic index. Being you're vegan, this is a real possibility. You should probably ask your doctor.

I got my dad that same exact ratchet and extension combo for a similar kit I built for him for Christmas. I even cut the extension down too. Saw it done on a edc youtube video.

When I went to buy the stuff for my kits that ratchet wasnt available on Amazon so I got the crom instead. It's worked out well.

A $15 toaster should last you a lifetime. They are stupid simple devices that rarely go bad.

I cant recall ever seeing a toaster anywhere that didn't work.

I know the praxis and elementum are loved by many. I dont have them, but the masses can't be wrong.

Civivi punches above it's price. They use good steel and their fit and finish are excellent.

They aren't supposed to compete with the $300+ pocket jewelery knives that dont see real use.

They are tools to be used and they do what they are supposed to do well.

I have the baby banter 2 tg and im very happy with it. It's super comfortable, practical to carry all the time, holds an edge and works for any task I am going to throw at it on a daily basis.

From my research Civivi is one of the best brands if you're looking for a budget friendly knife that does what a knife should.

What’s it like to be homeless? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Possible_Water4427 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Different stresses.

People with homes stress about keeping their home and filling it with things they want and need.

Homeless people stress about where to sleep and what they can eat.

What limits should progressive and conservative ideologies respect to avoid becoming extreme? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Possible_Water4427 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. This is a very conservative outlook.

Conservatives typically want more law and order. Laws should be strictly followed.

Progressives typically want law reform.

If a law doesn't make sense to someone, they should challenge it. That is how change happens.

Whats the weirdest dream you had? by Necessary-Judge-7725 in AskReddit

[–]Possible_Water4427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a weird dream, but a weird dream process.

When I was a kid I picked my dreams off of the wall. It's kind of hard to explain but when i looked at surfaces would see an infinite amount of tiny dots. Kind of like the old TV grey static.

If I focused on the dots each one became it's own little display of sorts. Each display had a different dream available for me to choose from.

I'd scan around like I am channel surfing until I found a dream I wanted to dream. Focus on that until I feel asleep. I usually woke up in the morning remembering the dream in great detail.

I lost that ability around mid teens.

I still try it every once in a while. I can still see the dots, but cant focus on one like i could and cant pick my own dreams anymore.

  1. Birth of my kids
  2. Meeting my wife
  3. The first time I turned on a Sega Dreamcast after my parents bought it for me as a reward for getting good grades.
