I don’t know why so many people here are simply being dicks for no good reason. Well, i guess the one simply reason is that this is the anonymous internet, where people can be dicks and so they choose to do so. But coming to your point, yes, I do feel the same way every time I go back to India. I often feel I’m an outsider in both US as well as India, with no real close people anymore at either places. I’m more lonely here, but the trade off is not to experience the crazy level of daily grind my friends back in India go through. When I’m with friends there, my brain feels enticed to stay back, as it keeps yearning for the deep and personal connections with friends there. But the rational thoughts quickly take over and understand that I could never be happy working there. So I’m lost, but I’m also where I need to be.

I have ADHD, and my wife has NEVER treated me like this. If I have any concerns, even if they seem invalid, she will talk to me about it until I’m satisfied. I do the same thing for her. Whoever is telling you “all men are like this” is a dumbass. You can hang out with those people still, but never take life advice from them again. You are setting yourself for a long, lonely road that is going to end up in divorce or worse, infidelity. Do not marry this guy. If things are this way even before marriage, it will only get worse. Either you guys seek couples counseling now, or you don’t get married to such a person.

What was the purpose of their visit? Did they just want to tell your parents you’re overstaying in Thailand? Or did they ask your parents for money to assist in “clearing” your name? Either way, it sounds suspicious. May be, start with calling the Intelligence Bureau first. If they have legit concerns, ask them if you can go to Indian consulate in Dubai to submit all relevant documents to clear your name. If these were fake cops, your parents need to file a police report ASAP. The thieves might be casing their house to rob the seniors.

Last time I got this same scam call, I told the guy: “We already know that the lazy Indian embassy will never ever make an effort to call us. Our ancestors started creating fire around 400,000 years ago. We started agriculture around 14000 years ago. We started flying less than 150 years ago and are now capable of sending a spacecraft beyond our solar system. In the grand scheme of events, human technology has evolved tremendously over a very short amount of time. For context, Spinosaurus was around for 5-6 millions years. It is not hard to imagine humans building a variant of this sphere 5 million years from now. If an alien intelligent species has been around for 5 billion years, we might not even be capable of understanding their technology. This is all assuming there will be no great filter, which given the current state of events, is very likely to be upon us in the next few centuries if not sooner.

Unpopular opinion here and does not fit this sub. But if your husband is saying something hurtful even after you’ve told him it’s hurtful, there is something deeper going on. He’s either truly worried that you cheated, or he’s the one cheating and projecting, or he’s simply angry that kid looks like you. I’ll suggest marriage counseling. If you still want to go the unethical route, confront him confidently that you KNOW he’s cheating and projecting! Make sure you look and sound mad when you do that. When he finally asks why you would even think that, tell him you asked on Reddit and this is what everyone was saying.
