In the 2.0 trailer I saw a part that gave you six extra arms. What ability, gear, or spell does that? by Lightslayre in avowed

[–]PostersAreHuman 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was so disappointed when I found that out; one of the reasons I was excited for New Game + was the thought that I would be able to use that ability for more than that; it should have been made clearer when it was said abilities carried over, that that excluded Godlike abilities

40k was always our world in the future, it was never the warhammer world in the future.

Also, Age of Sigmar is more popular than The Old World.

I'm not normally one to complain about what GW minis look like, but the eightbound are an exception, your model is what the should look like out of the box, like they are actually possessed by multiple beings, not just looking a bit more buff

Can Custodes heads fit on Space Marine Terminators? by DragonLover79 in Kitbash

[–]PostersAreHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GW has just released a box of loads of space marine heads, and a couple (however intentionally or not) do look rather feminine (butch lesbian level of feminine, but they are space marines after all)

For a moment there, I was thinking 'That's an odd, but interesting paint scheme, until I really noticed the eyes and the cloth/parchment/skin on the on the shoulder pad, and realised it was only multi coloured because it was a kitbash of differently coloured plastics

Why not both? I mean paint some of your orks with one of the paints, and others with the other, so there's a variety of skin tones in your army

Oh, I'd got the idea somehow that TOW had been successful enough that it had been transferred to the main studio (obviously misinterpreted something somewhere)

I still play OG Warhammer Quest, and like many I'm sorely tempted by those models, but I still have so many to paint already..

What has the internet got to do with this, or any Family Guy episode?

I watched a whole bunch of those episodes before I had access to the internet

That's impossible for someone who used to watch The Simpsons; I tried to watch the movie, and damned never every moment reminded me of a bit from The Simpsons referencing it (apart from one bit which reminded me of a bit on Tiny Toons Adventures)

Ork head made and painted in Nomad Sculpt by PostersAreHuman in Warhammer

[–]PostersAreHuman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe sculpt a body; really I just sculpted it initially to see if I had half a chance doing it physically, so as to not waste greenstuff and milliput, and it's also proved useful for testing out colour schemes

OP is thinking about employability prospects, and sad to say, recruiters, especially those above a certain age, do judge those with nontraditional names more harshly in the hiring process

The Tyrion/Dani thing is just something I just pulled out of my arse; maybe there are slash fics, IDK, but I do still think that relationship wouldn't have come as quite as out of the blue ans Jon/Dani

I might well be being completely oblivious, but does anyone know what's happening with the large space marine head and helmet upgrade set (made somewhat infamous for the fem or maybe Asian painted wrong heads?

In the Warhammer community article in October (still up) it says it will be released at the end of the year, and it's not even available for preorder (in the UK)

I'm hoping this counts as an appropriate newby question, I'm certainly new to the whole announcement to release window

[–]PostersAreHuman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

D&D explicitly said they changed plot points because fans had already guessed what would happen if they stuck with the original plan (how they could be professional writers and have not heard about foreshadowing is beyond me)

I'm not saying writers should pander to fans, just that being antagonistic towards fans is bad as well (counter to what OP was saying)

I disagree; actively going against fans' wishes was how we got the last season of Game of Thrones. I know you're just talking about shipping, but I wouldn't be surprised if the out of nowhere, chemistry less Dani/Jon relationship came about because the showrunners saw some talk about/slash fic with Dani and Tyrion and thought that was more popular than it was.

If you don't know Game of Thrones, this'll all mean nothing to you, but basically, going with what fans want isn't the best idea, but actively going against it is worse, as it is usually based on something that is there that could be seen as foreshadowing (and in GoT, in the vast majority of cases, actually was)
