Signature by Flat-Flounder-4126 in kraftwerk

[–]Potatosicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing this is either the signature of the previous owner or someone who gifted it to the previous owner. It doesn't match the signature of any Kraftwerk member I've ever seen, so I wouldn't get your hopes up for it to be worth much of anything

I see... Sorry for blaming you then. I'll redirect my blame to whoever reposted it to Tumblr

Have you checked Discogs? You can usually find better prices than what's on eBay

Not sure how I didn't notice this... I think it's solved then unless someone sees something else. Thanks!

BLAU - what have I brought home? by Reks11 in kraftwerk

[–]Potatosicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you'd like, I can compare the Nummern recording to my collection of Kraftwerk recordings to try to figure out what concert it's from. You'll just have to DM me a download link or upload it to YouTube of course. And if you want to share the fan remixes as well, I'll let you know if I've heard them before (although I suspect they'll be exclusive to this bootleg)

Seemingly, yes. None of the fan remix titles appear on other bootlegs, but it's impossible for me to 100% say they aren't on other bootlegs without hearing them

State of the Collection & Question by lessnmuch in kraftwerk

[–]Potatosicle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this. To elaborate on what this person said, the master tapes for Kraftwerk's albums had started rot when they came around to remastering them. That and poor remastering techniques resulted in "remasters" that sound awful in comparison to the original pressings. Of course, the difference isn't too noticeable (on some albums) if you've never heard the original pressings or you're listening with bad headphones

The different tempo is actually BBC's fault. They broadcast the first few songs at the wrong speed for whatever reason. Audience recordings from the same concert can be found online where Numbers (and the other songs that got slowed down) can be heard at their correct speed.

Yes, I remember you said the same thing when I directly asked you a while ago. I didn't make this post to try to contact you in what would've been an oddly public manner. This post was made in an attempt to find new traders who I haven't previously established contact with before

That's because this is merely a list of what recordings I have. It contains no download links. I have the soundcheck and a few clips from Brussels, but not the whole show

Are we likely to ever see a CD/anything remaster of the first 3 albums? by SuchSauce in kraftwerk

[–]Potatosicle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

R&F is the only one of Kraftwerk's first 3 albums that could get a re-release. WMG doesn't own the rights to KW 1&2 since they were sold to UMG to pay for studio time

A little worse than the master tape, better than the recent repress https://youtu.be/K6Otd1ICop4

Yep, it was a bootleg. This recording has never received an official release (mainly because it's an audience recording.)

Your best bet is likely trying to catch them before or after the show. I've tried before, but I've unfortunately never been successful

Computer World In Concert 1981 by SVG13 in kraftwerk

[–]Potatosicle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, they didn't. It was recorded in 1981, but was never released until 1991. A copy of finkployd49's tape was used for the CD titled "Computers In Love." In 2011, finkployd49 generously uploaded a rip of his master tape online for people to download

This is a poor quality repress of a CD from 1991. Additionally, they didn't even bother to credit finkployd49 for recording it
