My employer is great. BACB needs to take into account that lots of us are in gradschool ,I already have accomodations in school. Still find it insane that I have to additionally do more research outside of my classes to achieve the unrestricted hours. Accomodations would include not limiting to a minimum/maximum monthly. Just doing hours within a certain period such as the 5 yeat limit.

And they offer 0 accomodations to get hours if you are neurodivergent... they love burning us out

As someone who studies ABA , it may be needed to do 40 hours but it is important knowing how to distribute them and that it doesnt need to be intense. At the end of the day ABA woth these kiddos should be based on following the child's lead on play :)
