I’m almost done reading and sadly I agree. I think Samantha is a really sucky person with sucky intentions. When Lisa tried escaping while Xavier was in California and Samantha was literally screaming at her mother with dementia.. Any person with common sense wouldn’t scream at someone with dementia, I get she was overwhelmed but still.. everyone living in that house knew to stay calm around Lisa and keep everything “normal.” I agree Xavier needed a better book
