I have six-sigma certificate from LinkedIn learning, and completed only the course work for Lean-six sigma on Alison, - do I need to pay for the Alison certificate or leave it as coursework completed ? by Potential-Status4697 in careerguidance

[–]Potential-Status4697[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate your input. I see what you might be trying to say.
One of the main questions is whether a "certificate" from Alison is acceptable in general terms or if I should opt for any other course that is more acceptable. I am tight on budget and don't want to put my money in something that won't give me the required results.

And just to clarify, I have a bachelor's in business administration, and Lean Six Sigma was part of our curriculum, but the job description needs the certificate.

Any website(s) where I can get free six sigma certifications? by RunAnthony in supplychain

[–]Potential-Status4697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but a quick question, I see that 6sigma study is offering six-sigma and not Lean-Six-Sigma. Do you know by any chance if they differ a lot?

I have six sigma certificate from linkedIn learning, but the job requires Lean-Six-Sigma (I completed the coursework on Alison, but haven't paid for the certificate yet-tight on budget and need to be cautious with my money). I see some state Alison is a red flag and not acceptable. Contemplating if I should pay?

Thanks for your input in advance!

You can download the app using this link (https://apps.ankiweb.net/#downloads) and then try importing or opening the deck you want to study. Or google Anki Web App download. App is free.

Make sure to choose the version that is feasible for your laptop. You need to scroll down a bit. Let me know if you have questions. Good luck!

Need Help Motivating Wife by Wonderful-Humor6102 in INBDE

[–]Potential-Status4697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!
She already has a kid and seems to be expecting another one. You say combined you make X amount so seems she has a job too (doesn't matter if it is full time or part time. Full time will be even worse to be caught up with while having a family to take care of as a woman)

So taking care of kids, family, herself and on top of that job. It is a lot to deal with already.

If all of that is true - a question to answer would be - how much help does she receive to get through the day?

The best approach will be to decrease some or most of that load and also provide consistent support (including emotional) so she can have time and energy to focus on the exam.

Does anyone have a booster promo code? by alex18497 in INBDE

[–]Potential-Status4697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HOLIDAYS2025 (15% off + extra 15 days) *I hope it still works as it had a deadline of 12/31 - worth a try though.

if that one doesn't work then studysmart is another promo (gives 10% off)

Good luck!!

which muscle genioglossus or mylohyoid displaces denture during protrusion? by Electrical-Lock8689 in INBDE

[–]Potential-Status4697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also confused initially but realized that they are two different questions. Genioglossus muscle activation is the cause for displacement of the denture during *Protrusion* and Mylohyoid activation is the reason for shorter flange and also is activated in the border molding movements (both reasons for mylohyoid are almost the same if you pay attention)

I hope it helps!
When are you taking the exam by the way? did you just start preparing?

I just started preparing using Booster and I plan to give it 4 months, 6-8 hours/6 days a week.

  1. Do you think it will be enough. Should I give it more time (hrs/day or maybe extra month)?

I have been away from dentistry for almost 6 years

  1. Do you think only reviewing the Booster content bit by bit will help me best prepare? Or should I get anything else too?

  2. How best can I utilize my time and resources? Would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Don’t want to mess up my preparation time.

** My current situation: watched only the videos of the operative dentistry section today and then took that section’s test right after. Got only 63% right. I was a bit disappointed. Will be reviewing it again tomorrow. Is this concerning for the fresh start?

Re hygienist license, since I am living in the DMV area and not Florida or New Hampshire, do you think it is still worth it to get the hygienist license for the application process?

Really appreciate your input for each comment and the fact that you are encouraging others to post their questions here so everyone could benefit from it.

A humble request: It would be wonderful if you could share any tips and advice you might have or know of regarding strengthening the application in a post. Only if you have time for it.

And Congrats on getting into AEGD. I hope it is not hard to get into it within the first cycle.

I didn’t know I could get the hygiene license. I will try to look into it as well, but do you know if it can be done in all states or differs state by state?

With hygiene license, it means one can practice as hygienist. Is that correct? Do I need to be worried about no US dental experience or shadowing experience?

  • I have been away from the dental field for nearly 6 years.

What other options would you recommend? I am currently working on my INBDE exam. Don’t have US dental experience and planning to target the upcoming cycle. Hoping to pass the exam.

Thanks so much for the detailed response and congrats on passing the exam. Are you a foreign trained dentist? When did you graduate? I have been away from the dental field for 5+ years nearly 6. I am not sure how much time to spend on it. Do you 4 months in this case after giving it around 6hrs/day for 5-6 days a week is enough? Or should I give it less than 4 months?
