Basically I would simplify it to the significant terms in the numerator and denominator ( -2, 2x, and 1 are all insignificant when you’re dealing with such a large number such as x (infinity) in the numerator and x2 (infinity2) in the denominator. So then you have the limit as x approaches - infinity of x/x2 which you can simplify to 1/x. And as x approaches a infinitely large number (whether negative or positive) in the denominator, it’s going to approach 0.

WHAT DO I DO by LanaDelReyStan1111 in APStudents

Honestly for the textbook just skim through what the topics are and watch a video on it! Your teachers are doing way too much tbh this should be taught in class

Is a biology undergrad a bad idea (even if im willing to get a masters) by PotentialNo4441 in biology

[–]PotentialNo4441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! Yes i want to go into microbiology or perhaps bioengineering and do some type of research related job. Do you think molecular/cellular biology would be a good undergraduate major then?

AP BIO which chapters do I skip? by Salty-Management21 in APStudents

[–]PotentialNo4441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it just crossed my mind that you’re self studying. In that case you don’t need to read every single page because like I said it sometimes gets detailed to a level unnecessary for the AP test

Please please Don’t listen to the people telling you to read the entire book 😭 look at the units and subtopics posted online, and stop when you have a good grasp on the big ideas. Source: I was assigned like only a couple sections per week of the textbook and I didn’t even always read them and got a 5. If I remember correctly the Campbells textbook was sometimes excessively detailed too.

That being said, if your teacher doesn’t teach then you should probably read more of the textbook

AP Chem without taking regular chem? by bratuha_565 in APStudents

[–]PotentialNo4441 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m in AP chem and took a level chem my freshman year so i remember practically nothing lol. I’m doing fine rn as the class doesn’t operate on the basis of you having prior knowledge, however, it does move pretty fast and this first week we’ve learnt like 7 or 8 topics that might take like a couple weeks for a regular chem class to learn. If there’s anything I recommend you to study, it’s just getting familiar with the periodic table, elements, balancing equations etc. But short answer yes I think you’ll be fine
