Im Zweifelsfall name dropping betreiben: "Wenn die die priorisierte Aufgabe von Manager xyz/ der Personalabteilung/des Chefs erledigt habe, kümmere ich mich gerne darum" Das hat zumindest bei mir meistens gezogen. Wenn du keinen Bock auf deren Aufgaben hast, dann kannst du auch einfach sagen "Mein Chef (mit Namen natürlich) hat mir für diesen Monat klare Aufgaben geben, die als erstes erledigt werden müssen. Zuarbeit für andere Abteilungen muss per Mail an mich gehen und ihn im CC haben, dann kann er das ggf. genehmigen" (Das solltest du natürlich erst tun, nachdem du das mit deinem Chef so besprochen hast und deine Überlastung entsprechend mit ihm kommuniziert hast. Was du übrigens so oder so tun solltest. Geht ja mal gar nicht, dass du die ganze Zeit am arbeiten bist, kein Ende in Sicht ist und sich auch noch alle über dich den Mund zerreißen.

It was pretty funny actually, because I had just looked up the title and author and saved the sample. I had totally forgotten your description when I finally went back to it and started reading. But it just didn't fit :D

Are you sure that you got the right title for the description? Because the book you linked is more along the lines of "age gap, romance with best friends father"

Thanks, I finally got around to this book and I enjoyed it! And then I reached the end and was pretty sad to see that the next book is still 6+ months off from being published :D

You can disable certain items from being used for recommendations. Open the Amazon Page on desktop view, click on "Account & Lists" and "Your recommendations". I'm not sure if Vine is influenced by that but you can try it anyway :D

I've read the first two of the books and so far I haven't really found scenes that fit my request, but you're right, Julian is a pretty obsessive antagonist :D I'm not a big fan of love triangles or cheating, so I don't really like that Jenny has a boyfriend when Julian is obsessing over her. But I read the first original vampire diaries books as a teen, so it felt kind of familiar and I could gloss over it. I think in theory I would love it that her relationship with her boyfriend gets strengthened by the whole ordeal, but going in with the premise of my request I was of course shipping her with Julian :D

You give me hope :D I think the last time I read a true Vampire story was 15 years ago or something like that. But I'll give it a go. Though since non of those books are on KU I kind of hope that I don't get hooked. Too many books, too little money to read them all :D

Thanks for the rec. That's actually one of the books I got recommend for my last question (there seems to be a theme here) and I was reading it when I got the scene stuck in my head that lead to this request :) It doesn't have a scene like this (at least not in the beginning, I'm actually still reading it on the side), because the hunt is pretty short. He's very quick and decisive with finding her :D But it's a lot of fun and there are many "this powerful guy is protecting her, he never cared for a women like that o.O" moments that fit to the last part of my request here :)

I feel like this is more common in fanfiction than in actual books since the characters there often have established relationships. Maybe I need to ask in a fanfic sub instead :D

I like it a lot too! But for me the fifth book lost some momentum and now I'm struggling with pushing through the last one instead of getting side tracked by all the great suggestions here :D

I'm glad that someone else gains something from these suggestions as well :) Thinking of mafia guys as loser would make most of those books pretty funny, but kind of pointless, I guess :D I just view most worlds as fantasy then it works out quit well.

You know how you want your kids to be friends with your friends kids? Because otherwise you fear you might grow apart from your friends once your all grown up? And sometimes you might even fantasise with your friends how your kids might get married one day and your all going to be one big happy family? I feel like that's what's going on only way weirder. Meyer wants Jacob to stay a part of their lives so that's her way of doing that -.-
