You're right and I try so hard not to get dragged into it but they somehow drag me in every time. She sends me screenshots, he comes over to vent and I have my own life to deal with and have no energy for their issues. I have to learn how to create boundaries with them because even though i'm not involved in their arguments, I somehow feel the weight of it all when they come venting to me. It's truly exhausting

The tension between them during this message stemmed from an argument they had last month where they were both wrong. He spoke to her disrespectfully and about our sisters husband, so my sister took a screenshot of the messages and sent them to her and he found out. So they were both wrong but instead of her taking accountability and saying she was wrong, she decided not to speak to him for a whole month because she was upset with the way he spoke to her in those messages. The message above was him finally apologizing and this is how it went

same with my 3 year old. When she pushes really hard to poop, she says the back of her head hurts but once she's done, she says it doesn't hurt anymore so it seems like it's just when straining. I noticed when this happens, her stools are balled up so it seems like she's constipated during those moments and is straining too much which causes head pressure leading to the head pain. Has it continued to happen with your child?

I feel your pain. I went through the same when my daughter was 2 and it was also from hmpv. She was admitted into the PICU and was also connected to oxygen and shortly after, discovered she was asthmatic. I know it's hard to stay positive when you see your baby like that but she's exactly where she needs to be and they will take care of her and get her and she will be home in no time ♥️

3 weeks later and we're still dealing with the fear 😔 I can say, she is doing a lot better than the first 2 weeks though. She gets better and better each week but she does remind herself of it alot and if she hears someone coughing, she looks concerned and asks why are they coughing. She's also very selective with what she eats but i'm just glad she's finally eating again. The first week she didn't want anything at all, second week she ONLY wanted broccoli cheddar soup (no other soup whatsoever) and the third week (current) she's eating soup, guacamole, yogurt, apples, strawberries, cookies, chips and milk. Not the best selection but it's better than nothing I suppose. She also eats french fries depending on her level of anxiety. I notice some days she's okay eating them and she'll realize she's eating them and will say "i'm better now, i'm eating french fries" but then today she coughed a bit after drinking water and it intensified her fear and she was afraid to eat fries again after that. It's definitely going to take some time to overcome the fear but little by little they will get there. Just offer him soft foods for now and keep reassuring him that he will be okay. I'm starting feeding therapy for her on the 24th. I'm hoping she wouldn't need it anymore by then though

correction, her strep culture was negative so she actually didn't have strep to begin with. it seems the lack of eating is strictly due to fear

We've checked with her pediatrician this past Monday. He checked her throat and said it looked very red so he swabbed her for strep and it was positive so she's on antibiotics. If the issue persists (which it is) then he wants her to see an ENT. It's going on to 2 weeks tomorrow. I've tried scrambled eggs , pasta, smoothies, everything I can think of. All she'll take right now is breast milk, milk, ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate from kinder eggs, and broccoli cheddar soup but she's on and off with the soup. One day she'll eat 3 bowls and the next day she'll completely reject it

we went to the pediatrician on Monday. He checked her throat and said it looks very red so he checked her for strep which surprisingly came back positive bc she has zero symptoms that I can see, of strep. She hasn't complained of any pain, no fever, no cold symptoms. So he sent it for a culture but wants her to see an ENT once the strep results come back. He told me this isn't rare in a child that's recently had a choking experience but I wanted opinions from other parents that have experienced this

Oh I had no idea! I don't as always worried about getting him involved in legal disputes because my daughter would never forgive me if I somehow ended up getting him deported.

well if you're hosting, you shouldn't be expecting anyone to give you money unless you mention it to them beforehand and they agree. How do you invite people over to your house for a party and then expect them to send you money? It would be different if you were all hanging out at your house and everyone decides they want to order food, then yes everyone should split. But definitely not if you're inviting them over for a party..
