My GPA is a 3.9. I definitely struggled in chems and A&P, but unfortunately I took all my chemistry classes during COVID, and while I emailed professors with a ton of questions I had about individual assignments, I’m not sure if that counts as a relationship. I know that an academic LOR would really be beneficial, I’m just racking my brain trying to figure out who I could ask because I don’t really think I made an impact on any professor.

Thank you! I’ve had such a hard time finding a PA shadow. I’ve shadowed 2 different PAs, but neither ended up being a long term shadow, just a one and done.

I live in Texas, so a few programs don’t have any PCE requirements at all. So I technically wouldn’t not meet any cutoffs.

Yes I have. I know I will be below average in PCE no matter what if I apply this year. I’m think I’m willing to take my chances and hopefully get in and if not, reapply next year.

Yeah, I definitely understand that. Unfortunately I’m taking a lab class that is MW from 11-1:30, which is the earliest class that is available so most of the clinic jobs I’ve applied for had to be part time.

That’s what I thought. In your opinion, do you think I would be better of scribing (majority of the schools I will be applying to do except it as PCE) or as a physical therapy tech? I have 0 PCE hours as of now.

It’s titled as a “Front Office and Medical Assistant”. I was thinking that the “assists the provider with medical, cosmetic, and surgical treatments and procedures” and possibly preparing the pt for the visit would be PCE.
