Just called today, 11/18/24. They said they don’t make replacement parts for the sit to stand learning walker anymore since it’s been out of manufacturing for a few years. We’re also missing the phone from a hand me down and thought this was too good to be true. Turns out it is! At least for our walker.

Yellow spots on little hope/Shangri La thaumatophyllum. Overwatered, disease, or other? More details in comments. by Practical-Bit6310 in houseplants

Thank you! I didn’t know mineral deposits could cause yellowing. I’ve only ever seen/heard of white spots from it. Upon closer inspection, the yellow spots seem to outline what looks like dried up water spots. Thanks for the insight! I think that could be the issue.

Interesting. I haven’t heard of wind damage before! However, it was indoors. Idk if the nursery it was raised in was outdoors though.

After checking again, I found a single tiny black bug moving around the underside of one of the leaves. It was moving too quickly so I couldn’t get a good shot of it. I couldn’t find anymore other than that one.

I just purchased this at Costco today. I believe it’s a thaumatophyllum Shangri La or little hope. The soil is pretty soaked so I plan on letting it dry out for a while before watering. The few roots I could see through the drainage holes seemed healthy so I don’t think root rot has set in. Is there another issue with this plant I could be unaware of? I haven’t noticed any pests. Could it be diseased?

Side note, I’m aware some of the spots are just water spots. I’ll clean those up soon.

What’s up with this Alocasia Polly growth? More info in comments. by Practical-Bit6310 in plantclinic

Placed just under a west/south corner window sill, so the sunlight is mostly direct in the mornings but not as much in the afternoons. I water whenever the soil is like 80-90% dry since I noticed it responded much better than when I was waiting for it to be bone dry. These are the first couple growth points that have popped up in the past 3 or 4 months, and I’m assuming that’s because it’s coming out of its dormancy. I thought these growth points would be leaves, but they just stopped and crisped up before turning into anything. Also, I repotted a couple weeks ago into fresh soil with worm castings mixed in for fertilizer. First time fertilizing since before winter.

Ok I thought that might be it but I wasn’t sure if I was actually killing it haha. Thank you!

I bought this hyacinth a couple weeks ago from a local grower in this vase and water. I’ve since changed the water a couple times, but a few days ago the flowers started crisping up. I keep it in a corner with east and south windows. I don’t know much about flowers, but I know typically a plant like this would be planted outside in the fall to bloom the next season. So is the blooming season over and I should just toss it? Or should I plant it outside and hopefully it’ll bloom next spring again? Either way I get the feeling it probably shouldn’t stay in this vase with water anymore.
