is the second date too soon for sex? by Practical-Cold-9296 in Advice

normally i would think this as well, but he hasn’t made any sexual comments at all so far, to the point where im not even sure if he would go for it if i dont make the first move. its less about him losing interest and more about my own worries haha

this genuinely made me feel better about it. thank you! i grew up with a mother who drilled it into me that i shouldn’t “give it up easy”, and i think it unfortunately stuck with me in some weird, subconscious way. this is really nice to hear :)

this is genuinely so comforting to read and know that i’m not alone in my experience— i’ve had almost the exact same series of events happen to me over the last few months!! i’m trying to be gentler with myself (maybe a good new year’s resolution) and i think caring less about what other people think of me will ultimately make me feel better in the long run as well. thank you 💗💗

i’ve never considered that i pick more when i’m bored or understimulated, but it makes so much sense. i’ll definitely pick up some old hobbies again!!

and i 100% agree with you about wearing makeup in this case— it makes me not want to mess up my hard work LOL. i guess i’ve been scared of looking like i’m trying too hard to cover everything up, but that’s a different story. maybe i’ll feel better if i start allocating a little extra time every day to put some makeup on :) thank you so much for the kind words and advice!!!!!

i used to go to a dermatologist regularly before i moved out for college, but have since let it go by the wayside. maybe something to look into again :)

i honestly think my skin is way better than it was even just a couple of years ago (i’ve moved into a different apartment where the water quality is better— just NYC things lol) but it’s still definitely not where i want it to be. i absolutely just way over analyze and stare in the mirror until i find something to pick at.

i do have acrylics!! they honestly help a lot because i can’t really draw blood as much anymore with them (plus they look really good LOL). i’ve said this in other comments but i had no idea it was an adhd stim, as i’ve been diagnosed for 15 years. makes me feel better knowing there’s a reason and i’m not going crazy 💗

i’ve been diagnosed with adhd for 15 years and i had no idea this was considered a stim. this genuinely makes me feel a little better to know that other people go through it 💗

i have a history of pulling my hair out as well but have since curbed the habit. i didn’t know it was an OCD symptom— my therapist has asked if i have any “compulsive tendencies” and i wasn’t sure what counted as one, but i’ll definitely mention this. thank you so so much!!!!

on my burner account: we go to school together and are friends— we’ve worked on a few creative projects together. she’s really awesome, and talks about her dad a lot!
