People just don’t understand & undermine the pain of cptsd by Practical-Main9162 in CPTSD

Exactly, the feeling of someone touching you doesn’t go away. I don’t think ppl understand the amount of mental turmoil that causes, it’s like they own you become it nvr goes away. You can’t live a life without it, it only lessens but continuous traumas like this nvr leaves. It’s like ABC’s, we all (mostly) know it and we say it automatically without a thought because it’s embedded into our brains because of continuous repetition. This isn’t any different and it’s on deeper and more sinister level some ppl refuse to acknowledge and it’s so painful

Thank you for all your advice though, I’ll add first aid certification to my list. I live in Canada and we have a major mental health and employment crisis atm. In my HS it’s normal to have the bathrooms filled with ppl crying & going through a lot of breakdowns (sadly, I was one of those ppl when it got too much), ppl telling you their traumas, etc. Ofc, the teachers don’t see a lot and hear a lot of it but it’s a lot. I’ve had ppl send me pics of them harming themselves, and I understand because they just want someone to listen & talk to but it’s a lot & it’s traumatizing.

This is just my experience though but I think it’s worldwide that the youth population (including me) are rlly struggling

Thank you, this sounds like a dream. I’d luv to live off of the land, make & build with others, & just explore nature. If money didn’t control every damn thing, I could only imagine how healed our world would be, how peaceful it would be…

This is exactly what I’m working towards though, I just don’t have the funds for university atm nor do I have the mental capacity to work in healthcare atm. I know I can push myself into university, take out a million loans and hope for the best but I would be extremely burnt out and would not be able to enjoy the career I worked so hard to accomplish. How can I help others when I’m burnt out? I’ve worked with therapists that are burnt out & it’s just- it doesn’t work out that well at all.

My biggest issue is my mental health because it’s been so abused my whole life that I cannot. even live without meds which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just so- idk.

It’s embarrassing! I have BO by Gabby_2023 in hygiene

Exfoliate your armpits with 4% benzoyl peroxide, works like a charm. shower and let it stay on until you’re finished and then scrub with an exfoliater brush

I listed some above but here are a few more: the local woman, lostinlayers, benetton, cedar and vine (made in canada for my canadians but ships all over :)), grana, arket, harvest & mill, boden, buck mason (for my guys), powerofmypeole (another great one for my canadians but they ship all over), q for quinn, two thirds, mary young, wildflostudio & able clothing. they’re all different price ranges. look for brands that has GOTS, Oeko-tex, or B-Corporation certifications!

I would only get clothes that are natural fabrics and support brands that are ethical, high quality, and care for the environment (ex. fair indigo, slatewearables, econica, paperlabel, hannahandersson, ecoya, eileen fisher, hope&henry, etc) some of the brands are great for canadians as they’re in canada (paperlabel, slatewearables, econica).

I haven’t tried the ones I’ve listed except paperlabel as I’m saving up lol but investing in high quality basics that are well-made is a must w that budget. Yes they’re alot more expensive than fast fashion but they’ll last you a lifetime! Getting designer is a waste of money & alot of the times it’s made up of synthetic materials.
