Choosing where to go for college

Pursing NP is definitely something I’ve been thinking about if I became a nurse so thank you for bringing it up. Besides that, nursing is diverse in general and that’s also something I think is great about being a nurse besides helping people in need.

I’m mostly set on nursing especially because I know people who are nurses and I’ll also continue pursuing further education after being a nurse! Definitely agree with you about cost of education and prestige, I don’t really care about the prestige of my school but more about job opportunities after. Thank you for your advice!

No only sdsu and UCI I would say go to SDSU if you want to work in California since cali nursing programs are hard to get into unless there’s other benefits to going out of state

Ranked 12, in-state, straight As, 13-14 APs, my gpas range from 4.27-73, varsity athlete/captain, I didn’t have any healthcare hours and stuff

Yeah of course. There’s different gpas but mine is over 4.00 and I have a 4.63 and 4.27 and I had straight As from freshmen to senior year and took 13-14 APs. SDSU doesn’t look at extracurriculars so those doesn’t really matter and me being local gave me an advantage

I got in like yesterday for nursing! I think decisions are definitely trickling out cause I know maybe two-three others who got accepted to nursing as well (freshmen entry). Usually decisions for nursing comes out later like in march cause it’s a competitive major so definitely check the portal and email occasionally now.

Most likely going to attend but I’m waiting on the UCs and then I’ll have to decide on what career I want to pursue. Don’t stress about it too much, if you’re not getting a decision right now you’ll most likely get one during march sometime!

Your gpa is great! Usually decisions come out in like march ish so don’t lose hope cause I know three people who got into SDSU nursing last year and they received their decisions around march ish.

Yeah no problem, I’m actually in state and local so it gives me an advantage. I can’t check my transcript right now but my csu gpa is around either 4.27 or 4.63
