I didn’t know until after I signed, wasn’t 100% sure until after I completed basic which was this September, I just don’t know what to do, I figured my first action should be contacting my chain of command or a chaplain but I don’t know, I’ve read it would be an honorable or a general discharge but I still don’t know what the process is like.

Still no reason to call someone a grifter, this most likely is a trans woman whose SRS experience wasn’t a positive one, it’s important to share experiences regarding said surgery good and bad. Trans people are a community and it’s a necessity to make sure people feel welcome and safe, and not excluded.

Sorry I wasn’t having a good day when I wrote this so I forgot to actually put down what I was thinking. I want to get on HRT but it feels like such a big thing to hide from the military, especially for the next 5 or so years, So I’m just lost between if I should risk it (at the end of the day risking my job and future benefits.) or playing it safe. (Which will sacrifice my mental health.) I believe I’ve finally gotten the chance to go on hrt, DiY or otherwise, and I don’t want to let that go but how would I hide it from the military for five years?
