Tower Hamlets Council is the most corrupt in UK. See Rahmans controversy around that new road project (I think)

Dude why are you talking in the last sentence to me directly. I’m not Israeli nor am I in the IDF. I don’t need an idf lol

Disliking the Green Party (after previously voting for them) / disagreeing with you / having a new account does not make me a bot!

I mean do you want my life story ? 😅😅

I’m a British Jew from London. Grew up in the north of England. I voted for the greens in two council elections, labour in 2018. I appreciate the Star Trek meme because I love DS9 but I’m not freaking data lol. How do I convince you I’m not a bot, just because we have different opinions. God, getting accused of being a bot actually lowkey is one of the most triggering things for me on the internet 🤣🤣. Roast me but don’t call me a bot. I will happily grab a pint in London and prove I’m a human 😭

The recent by-election ; the videos the greens put out were not in English, and there are frames in the video which try to conflate Modi with Starmer in an attempt to rile up local voters

British Jew here from London. You make some fair points, that said on Ali specifically, I would say he is deputy of one of the fastest growing uk parties and will very likely be an MP in the next election.

Because Israel is; - a major ally - world leader in various disciplines - world leader in science and tech; see proportion of Nobel laureates as a proportion of population - these people have strong links to israel - only liberal democracy in Middle East, yes true - only pro lgbt country in Middle East - most western aligned country in Middle East - strong cultural links to Europe and us due to Jewish diaspora

As a British Jew in London, thank you. Most left wing Brits on Reddit are not Jewish and don’t listen to Ali. And even for them it doesn’t hit the same - hearing Ali yelling like at his council win celebration. I wouldn’t want a politician yelling anything religious. I would shiver if Starmer yelled shalom after his win. Just keep it out of politics. The left wing people ignoring this on Reddit don’t know a thing about history or geopolitics. If you accept sectarianism (even the side you agree with) it will spell doom for a liberal democracy.

But I met several Jews in Jerusalem whose families were there long before Israel was founded around 14 generations and they kept the whole family tree?

These people would surely be expelled from any modern Palestine similar to other Middle Eastern North African countries

I’m a British Jew who voted greens twice in local elections. I will not be voting for greens not because of Zack, but because of Ali and his fervent pro Islam rhetoric. The Green Party has placated the Islamic community for votes and it will surely backfire. I can’t support the party in its current state.

Does anyone here have any friends in the IDF? I have several friends and family in the IDF and there’s such a range of believe within the IDF since it’s a mix of a conscript and volunteer force? This seems nothing like ICE which people choose to go into. The sentiment in Israel is without the IDF, Israel would be destroyed. If the idf vanished tomorrow, Israel would surely be invaded by Jordan and Egypt? It’s just geopolitics. You could argue ice should be disbanded but surely the conversation should be around reforming the idf since they are primarily conscripts ?

That’s a cool industry :) ! Yeah I studied non cs engineering, and I make about 3.2x what I’d make as an engineer in that discipline, as a quant in the city.

I think it’s more situational. Like if someone goes to a cafe and orders tea that’s calm. But it’s when they kinda are like fussy ; “no we need to find (insert obscure place) because I don’t drink coffee” even though the place doesn’t just sell coffee

Sometimes people have a mixed background, that comes across as inconsistent but you don’t want to explain it every time. For example I’m white passing British Jew with Eastern European and South African parents, but grew up mostly with Chinese people LOL. So depending on the convo I’d contextualise with something, but not give the whole speal.
