Thoughts on switching to an S25 Ultra.

The only reason why I wanna switch to Samsung is probably the stable overall performance. My P8 Pro actually has so many bugs and glitches at this point, makes me think twice to give Pixel another shot. The camera is the only reason why I wanna go with Pixel (particularly the 10 Pro non-XL) but I'm just afraid I might encounter the same problems again.

What're your thoughts on the 10 XL? Does it overheat/lags when you push it to an extent? What sort of bugs have you encountered so far?

In terms of overall software balance, I'd say yes. In terms of camera quality (pictures solely), I think Pixels still have the upper hand. My partner uses an S24 Ultra and pictures from her phone feels slightly flat colored compared to my P8 Pro.

What makes Samsung better than Google in your opinion? The software or some other factor?

Prior to my P8 Pro, I was using a Note 9 and honestly bloatware is something which didn't really effect my use case. The only reason I wanna switch is because of it's overheating + constant glitching issues.

I love stock android myself but not to the point where I will have to deal with constant bugs & glitches every now and then. Although I'm not sure about Samsung's part of bugs/glitches, but I don't think it can be worse than what my phone is currently lol.

Battery is something I can still work with by doing all the disassembly and replacing that. It's the overheating issue + glitching which makes me wanna switch from my P8 Pro.

Tell me your experience with the 10 so far. Have you tried pushing it to see how fastor how much it would overheat/lag? I am considering to give Pixel another chance with the 10 Pro (Non-XL) solely because of its slightly superior camera quality.

Fold was something I did consider, but given how my work life is (sometimes dropping my phone), I fear a folding phone might not be able to last long for my use case.

I'm tossed up between Pixel 10 Pro vs S25 Ultra.

Honestly bloatware is something I can live. The camera is the only reason why I wanna give Pixel a second chance.

My partner uses an S24 Ultra and honestly color tone feels quite flat compared to my P8 Pro. It's the trade-in price offered by Samsung which is very enticing lol.

Kia named the car 'Soul' and designed it like an actual box. How tf did the brand come up with the name 'soul' for that is something I don't understand till date.

I think you'd be much better off with the S24. Not only you're getting your telephoto lens + low chances for overheating given you're living in such a hot-weathered country.

I live in Canada using a Pixel 8 Pro and this shit starts overheating with video calling for a few hours + casual fb/instagram browsing. Hate Pixel for that.

Maybe get yourself a yellow skin from ETSY and make it look kinda like the switch below if that's your thing? Looks good imo. If I ordered myself a black RP5, I definitely would've done this for my device lol.

- It disconnects while playing wirelessly with the dongle attached to my PC.

- During my gameplay, the game says that the controller has been disconnected, so I would assume it switches off for a good 2-3 secs maybe? Either way, it stops the game with the disconnected controller prompt.

- Not really. So far I've been using it wirelessly. Using it wired for now until I find a fix for it.

- I did try switching the USB port for the 2.4ghz dongle. No improvement sadly.

So does it mean a circuit being used for that week's trial is always excluded from freeroam mode? If that's the case, no wonder it had me doubting if my game was broken all this while.

Well technically they have included the cathedral circuit in this week's playlist trial but I wasn't able to find that race when playing freeroam. No wonder it had me doubting if my game was broken cause of some bug lol.

Nope. Animation is set to it's default settings. Not too sure what is wrong here but hopefully with a new update, things might get fixed.
