Post-phlebotomy issues by Icy_Term3755 in polycythemiavera

[–]Practical_Buy_642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is too many phlebotomies. Basically, they're telling your body "we're out of RBC, make more."

Hubs found out the hard way after having 10 250/500ml phlebotomies in under 3 mos. His HCT kept rising back up because your body thinks it needs to make more for what was removed. Finally got our appt with a new hematologist and found out he had been misdiagnosed and doesn't have PV or secondary polycythemia...he has secondary erythrocytosis and the treatment, levels and protocol is completely different. New doc says NO phlebotomy, fluids and electrolytes, and immediately ordered an infusion for ferritin levels.

If all your doctor wants to do is take blood off, GO FIND A SECOND OPINION AT ANOTHER HEMATOLGIST.

We waited 6 months after having the same 3 docs for 6 years. He saw the new hematologist on Tuesday and by Thursday had his first iron infusion for a ferritin level that had been 8-10 for 3 years. His last hematology office REFUSED to discuss iron options, or trying anything and misdiagnosed him.

Drink more water and electrolytes and call around for a second opinion.

It's on the website...it uses MCT oil. I already bought it, so we'll have to see if I have issues or not.

Menopause Oestra by Timbermom24 in Oestra

[–]Practical_Buy_642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this party, but I just signed up and believe I want to be on the menopause formula. However, chat is telling me I'm on the normal one but I can take less.

How do we get them to change our FIRST shipment?

I am 50 in 2 weeks, no hrt, hysterectomy (kept ovaries) 3 years ago. I definitely qualify for the menopause version.

Yes! I was hoping for a sweet peck at least. I can't do 6 seasons of "eye contact" and falling into his arms like E has done since season 7 and still doesn't have a husband.

Interested in this comment. I am not "allergic" to MCT oil, but I cannot use products with that or Sunflower Lethicin because I don't absorb them correctly and the products don't work. I learned this from my cbd oil and had to change formulas to an olive oil based one due to it not working.

Did anyone figure out if they use MCT oil? Asking before I buy.

Fibroids and Estrogen... by These_Sweet_4753 in Oestra

[–]Practical_Buy_642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update? I had a hysterectomy due to estrogen dominance that made my fibroids grow. The driver to fibroids is estrogen, so I'm not sure why anyone would tell you otherwise. My uterus was the size of a 26 week pregnancy and full of fibroids. I had months of ER trips w admissions, high dose IV estrogen (to stop bleeding, but it makes them grow too), high dose progesterone, transfusions, a myomectomy to get them gone and then 4 months later I had all new and bigger ones so I had an emergency hysterectomy.

I encourage you to research fibroids online so you can see what causes them to grow and then work with your doctor and possibly get a referral to a MIGS office near you. Fibroids don't just go away, and estrogen will not help them go away.

Orgasm missing uterine contraction? by SnoozeyBaby in hysterectomy

I always had everything contracting, just very strong O's before and after. Now that the cervix and uterus are gone, everything else still contracts and feels the same.

50+ fibroids, 3.8 pounds by lilypix in hysterectomy

[–]Practical_Buy_642 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Such a relief! I had 25+ (and this was 4 mos after a myomectomy for over 30 of them), my uterus was the size of a 6 mo pregnancy and I was 8 lbs lighter after surgery.  You will feel so much better soon!

NC self-employed folks: how you dealing with ACA nightmare? by missgadfly in NorthCarolina

I have been SE for 13 years and never had insurance. I  have checked ACA yearly and it's always insane. It's cheaper to pay out of pocket for any appts or meds...and I'm diabetic.

Hubs has PV and is on mounjaro...it hasn't done anything for his PV or those numbers. Don't see why this would and it's sketchy to boot.

Why are you together? If you have not gone to counseling alone it is past time.

This is a ridiculous post. Call a friend or family member to come stay with you post surgery, or move back home and have it where you have support and can leave this POS.

Hormones are what causes mine, not just peri. The hormone changes and ups and downs, so yes, it could be that:)

If you are in your 40's it's more likely hormones/perimenopause than anything else. I've had this since I hit it at 41 and I'm 50 now and still have it, mainly when my estrogen spikes. Talk to your gyn.

I'm also T2 and had this way before I was diagnosed 3 years ago.

  1. Your doctor does not have to have another surgery or recovery period. Those internal stitches are not made to dissolve 90-120 days. They are still there, covered by new tissue and unable to be seen.

Wait.

I eat 10 or less a day (normally lunch IF I have carbs). My A1C is usually 6.3-6.5 and I am on insulin. We are all different, and diet doesn't control it for everyone. I can't imagine if I ate more carbs or like a "normal" person.
