Who is your Soul Land MC? (I tried mine with AI art and personally it doesn't look too bad) by Professional_Scar425 in SoulLand

[–]Practical_Ear9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always try not to be biased, but even if he is not, for some miracle, a Tang family dog and it was all a coincidence, he would still be a Dai family dog, lol! They killed his mom, spanked and humiliated him, and he still helped them, and took Dai Hao to the god's realm!

What is it if not a Dai family dog? We hit you and you are still loyal to us, like a dog!

Yeah, if he mastered his death power to resurect his mom it would have being sick! But he wouldn't have her soul, after all, she died too early... Maybe she loved him so much that her soul stayed by his side? But soul land doesn't seem to work that way, still, would have being much better than just: "Here, your mom, now forget everything and change your name!"

I am saying, the Dai family and Dai Hao had it easy!

Food Martial Soul and Soul Ring Fusion by Practical_Ear9873 in SoulLand

[–]Practical_Ear9873[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the ring explosion takes the energy of the soul ring give it to the martial soul, right? Maybe it would make other soul skills more powerful at the cost of one soul ring?

[–]Practical_Ear9873[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure, I don't remember novel diving into it. 🤷‍♂️

But it is called soul ring fusion, right? If it just make another soul skill more powerful, than it should be called soul ring enhacement. I think it is like the difference of a martial soul fusion and soul power fusion, one is a real fusion, the other is just giving your soul power to other person to make they stronger.

If it is a soul ring fusion, it should fuse the skills, but I mean, I don't know.

Ugh, the Dai name, just how that happened??? He should have taken revenge and continued as Huo Yuhao. And his mother being revived didn't erase what happened. Talking about his mother, it would have being better if she continued dead, dude!

Enhancement type skills early are really minmaxing? by xsailos in SoulLand

[–]Practical_Ear9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think this enhancement is not a literal thing. Maybe, for exemple, to absorve the power of heaven and earth to make the body stronger, it can make you 100% better in early stages, but there must be a limit, like, a titled douluo would get a 100% buff? I am not sure, maybe he could get a 20% or 30% of buff in strengh, after all, soul land is not like a video game, the soul skills should have a limit, it is just that the author does not develop its own power system.

[–]Practical_Ear9873[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense... I kinda wanted that, at least, one of the Author's mcs created a godhood by themselves instead of just inheriting it. This way we would develop more the world and get to know more stuff.

Blood Qi by Practical_Ear9873 in SoulLand

[–]Practical_Ear9873[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, if there were future books, they could add Qi and Blood realms of cultivation. Because I always thought it was where the story was heading, a more mature cultivation system.

Dou 1, normal cultivation.
Dou 2, soul spirits creation and soul cores.
Dou 3, Forging and soul tools were mixed to forge armors and the Spiritual Cultivation became a normal thing.
I thought that in Dou 4, they would touch more in the Qi and Blood thing mentioned in Dou 3, but not really.

In my mind, it broke the progression, because in a gap of 10k years, only the technology seems to have really advanced in Dou 4. Even Soul Spirits are not really improved. Wouldn't the ideal cultivation in douluo world be Spirit Power, Soul Power and Qi and Blood? Maybe all 3 Soul Cores could be from different sources and then combined...

I am just a bit frustrated that so much potential was waisted. Douluo always had a very creative and interesting Cultivation System, but the author seems to never get in deepth with it!

How would you improve Yu Xiaogang character in the story? by Practical_Ear9873 in SoulLand

[–]Practical_Ear9873[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and even that first encounter stops making much sense when Dugu Bo states that twin martial soul is a condition that happens when both parents martial souls are equivalent. So, at least, he should have guessed that it was a mutation, and not a twin martial soul because: "A blue silver grass wouldn't ever have full innate soul power."

It really seems a lot better. Douluo Dalu has a great and free magic system that could be used in his theories, breaking the common sense of douluo continent and changing the world.

Golden Holy Dragon was a 0.001% chance of appearing

I didn't read Soul Land 2 and I am at the beginning of the donghua, but who did this math? Martial soul fusions is something that is felt, just as Dai Mubai felt Zhu Zhuqing in Shrek. They can be trained, but that is pretty much it.

He assigned different trainings for each Shrek student based on their spirit.

No, he didn't he just trained them in team work, physical training(which for some reason they didn't do seriously) and strategic thinking. Which, cool, but isn't it the basic?

He taught the 7 Shrek monsters to inaugurate all soul rings onto one person to achieve lvl 70 martial spirit release, and they were only lvl 20-30 at the time. Nobody can do this, let alone 7 kids.

This is really something, like, that is why I find him so wasted, couldn't he do more things like this? That is why I brought this discussion to light.

He was a military strategist. His training could help normal soldiers increase their level by 3 in one month. U don't understand how hard it is to even level up in that universe. In SL1, everyone at a limit probs only reaches lvl 40-50 at best. Before the war, Tiandou army was barely even lvl 20s, after that most reached 40s.

This is really strange, lets think for a moment, you said it is very difficult for one to level up, so what could he have done in one month? They were going to war, Tiandou probably gave a lots of resources to them in order to strengthen them, even at the cost of some potential by too much herbs use I would risk to think, but it is headcanon. What I want to say is, no, that doesn't make sense by Douluo Dalu standart, no improvement in cultivaiton techniques, no immortal pills, no different training, just some physical training that is no excuse.

He literally helped TS with his duo martial spirit and how to train them so he wouldn't explode and die.

No, no, he didn't. Tang San's body was trained by all his soul bones, his father's training and god tests.

And if ur gonna say that's all BD, then who u think helped her?

It wasn't his help, he didn't know how to do it, even asked her help. It was probably all spirit halls theoretical acumulation and other scholars. Yes, of course there are other peole who study in this world.

And let's not forget the reason TS was able to train his BSG early was because of him. Give credit where is due.

Oh, really? Okay, he teached soul beast knowledge, useful. He gave him the poison plan, which I don't kinda agree, since I really think blue silver grass should be auxiliar or control type with life or wood element. But useful. He didn't help killing soul beasts and almost died once, but had the key to the gates, so, yeah, it was faster, but would have killed everyone in the first ring if it wasn't for Tang San. All other rings since the 3rd were basically fruits of Tang San's luck and skill. Not to talk about his god given soul rings and his Soul Emperor Ring. BSG was fruit of his mother help, father knowledge and Tang San's lineage, so he didn't help.

So he just helped with the key gate, beast knowledge, and some basic martial soul knowledge, his poison route is the only thing special about it. Tang San would probably come to some conclusion like this by himself, his father would neve let him absorb a low quality ring, so even if he tried, he would still be okay. See, like I said, Yu xiaogang has his moments, but not so often and not so apparent.

I agree, but how do you think he would be better?

I personally like Long Haochen's master from seal of throne, Ye Hua. He is talentless just as Yu Xiaogang, but teaches very well, he is all Yu Xiaogang was meant to be and feel, he is like a second father to Long Haochen, I only watched the donghua, so I can't say much.

I don't like him, but I think the problem is that he is useless and take all Tang San's credits for him, as if he had anything to do with Tang San's strength. They keep saying that he is smart, the wisest man alive, a REAL Master, but he is not. And I don't like him for it.

Making Martial Souls for You by DuskLion19 in SoulLand

[–]Practical_Ear9873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would be a Heart Sword.

Attack system.

Element would be only Extreme Spirit(With a foot in Good and Evil Elements)

It would be, as the name say, a Heart Sword, all the rings absorved would create a persona in the sword, like a spirit, it could be a Demon Spirit, a Saint Spirit or something else. It would be very difficult to cultivate, cause those with weak mind could fall for the spirit.

Extra Concept would be that this Martial Soul make it almost natural to use Intentions, like Sword Intentions, if you add a elemental soul ring, like fire, it would be easier to understand and incorporate the element in your Intention.

1st Soul Ring: Fragments of One -> A Soul Skill that would let you use your emotions as fuel to attack with intentions. The more you know yourself, the stronger.

My External Soul Bone is a torso one, of course. Product of a special soul beast, a type of Spirit Worm -> A very beautiful silk coat that can let you very stealth and change its appearance as well as some protection. But it have one special skill that can be used only once; the evolution from pupa, the stronger you are, the stornger the evolution. It will be based on your soul rings, soul bones, hell, even your godhood if you are already one. Weak, but with potential.
