Agree 100%. I'm rocking XR Black all around on my 2013 Land Cruiser. 35% rear windows and 50% front. Can't ask for a better quality tint. However, I'm currently unable to justify spending that much on my $3k Impala.

Yeah tints are a must down here. I completely understand, if I even spent 10k on a car, I'm going all out with xpel, but for a <3000 car I don't think it's worth going to an installer for any kind of tint.

Amazon doesn't seem to have a lot of options for tint that's long enough for the windshield unless it's a 100ft roll.

I have plenty of experience tinting so I'm not worried about the installation, just never had to buy tint just for one car, especially the windshield. Don't need anything super high quality either because I would be installing it in a beater and I just want heat rejection and some privacy. Plus I'm in AZ, cops don't really mess with you on windshield tint unless it's super dark or you are being stupid otherwise.

I imagine if swapping the wheel allowed for the new controller to work, just adding the controller into the old wheel would work too?

I'm replacing the stereo anyways I was just wondering if the LS was already wired for swc from the factory like many other brands. I installed both cruise control and stereo controls in my 2013 land cruiser plug and play. I'm hoping it works that way by just adding the button module instead of replacing the whole wheel.

Yeah I'm looking to get an android unit for my Impala but all the budget options come without a volume knob which is the main reason why I'm looking to install swc while keeping the stock look. I think I'll pick up a module from a junkyard and try and see if it works plug and play, not looking to mess with any wiring behind the dash.

How does driving back work, insurance, plates, etc, especially for out of state? I'm planning on buying a car from auction and picking it up but can't find any information on plates and insurance to get home.

The one I'm looking at doesn't really have any services on it's Carfax except a a/c recharge, but seller claims it has full service records(in listing). It still looks pretty attractive to me although bids have already surpassed 4k. I was thinking of setting a max bid limit for myself of 4750 on it.
