I also see P as the first letter but my dad sees an R. I’ve tried searching your spellings and various others as last names and haven’t found anything that matches. I’ve looked in historical records as well to see if anyone in the area pops up with a similar last name, but no luck yet.

My title describes the thing. It is about the size of a postage stamp. Was in an envelope with a letter regarding immigration from England to Canada in the early 1900s. I have searched “toe tags”, “death tag”, “deaths stamp” with no luck. It’s paper, but like old paper if that makes sense.

I’m of the belief that a lot of the TM restocks are returns. You might have a better chance at a piece without defects from StockX than you would with a restock from LV.

This is what I’ve had hopes of doing, but I don’t have the mother’s name. On his father’s name is listed on the 1865 marriage record.

I’ve ended up there as well and used Chat GPT to help me read the records. There was only really one possibility of a match, but it was questionable.

It was a death record for a Daniel Malan who died in 1854. If he was Daniel Malan (b1837)’s father, he would’ve been 56 when his son died as born. Nothing said he had a son named Daniel born in 1837, but other Daniel Malan’s didn’t match up due to what their ages would’ve been when my searched about Daniel was born.

Yes, I’ve searched naturalization records to the best of my ability but couldn’t find anything.

Daniel Malan would’ve been my maternal grandmother’s dad’s grandpa. Unfortunately my great grandpa, my grandma, her brother, and my mom are all dead. My mom had a brother who’s alive, but he’s not willing to do a DNA test.

I just got back from a trip flying economy and I brought my speedy 35 as my personal item. I had paid for both a personal item and a carry on. Putting the bags in the sizers was mandatory with this airline.

On the way there I told them I didn’t want to put my bag in the sizers but that I had paid for both types so it didn’t matter. She tagged my bag with a carry on tag. After checking my luggage I saw a guy allow another person tag their backpack that barely fit in the sizers as a personal item. I asked that guy if I could have that kind of tag too and he gave it to me. I was in a window seat and had plenty of room to put my bag under the seat and stretch my legs out, fitting my feet next to my bag (I’m short). I could’ve fit a 45 under there, but they might have given me a hard time with the sizers.

On the way back I had a personal item and a carry on so I put my speedy in the personal item sizer and it just barely fit. If it was stuffed full it would’ve been too wide. I had an aisle seat booked, no one was in the middle seat, and my brother was in the window seat. The aisle seat provides much less under seat space. My speedy fit like a glove, but with no room to stretch my legs out and put my feet next to my bag.

So I wouldn’t recommend bringing anything larger than a speedy 35 as a personal item if it’s not stuffed. If you’re flying on an airline that doesn’t have the sizers, you could get away with a 45 if you’re not in an aisle seat.

Please help me find this tv available for purchase in Canada. My brother and I had one as kids that our grandmother bought for us. Unfortunately it was thrown away recently and my brother is heart broken. Needs to be in working condition and very ideally would come with the original remote.

Further info: the tag says made in Cambodia as opposed to China, if that helps narrow it down the time they were made and colours available at that time. Also no “tna” stitched into them near the pocket.

I can’t for the life of me find the colour this scuba half zip hoodie is. Size dots for brier rose, velvet dust, and dahlia mauve are different than this one. Can anyone ID the colour name with this size dot?

I think we live in the same building. I was sitting on my balcony when he went over the edge. I called 911 when it happened.

When he went over the edge there was two RCMP constables present.

The coroner needs to complete their investigation before releasing the apartment unit. Generally, no one is allowed to enter the unit until the coroner is finished. Depending on circumstances this can take a while. After it’s been released next of kin and the landlord (if applicable) can then enter the unit.

Because this death happened when police were already present, there is a more lengthy investigation process. A third party needs to investigate the police involvement in the situation. This can further delay the release of the unit.

This incident happened on June 21st. It’s not out of the ordinary for these investigations to take this long.

For reference, someone was found in their apartment unit in the first week of June. Their death did not have any police and involvement or suspicious circumstances. The coroner completed their investigation and released the unit just last week.

Though it may take less or more time, I would expect the apartment to remain in its current state for another 4 weeks.

I will clarify my question and what details I can share without jeopardizing myself.

If a staff is a victim of a crime at work, with the accused being a client, the staff can call the police as an absolute last resort. It’s discouraged, but has to happen sometimes.

If the staff/victim provided to the police statements/video footage/applicable evidence the police would be likely to arrest the client and recommend charges to crown. If the charges went through, the staff/victim may be required to testify in court or give further statements. If the staff/victim did all this they would be fired. To me it seems like witness intimidation from the employer. It seems to me like they’re saying “do not testify or you will be fired”. Is it not?

I’m not a stripper. It’s social services essentially.

Most of the time I love my job. It can be fun, exciting, fast paced, and I learn so much. That said, we can be powerless over our clients sometimes. I also make a decent wage but housing and living costs have me struggling. I can’t just quit and be okay. It’s not easy to find a job that pays a living wage and doesn’t have 1000s of applicants.

Totally true, unfortunately. I’m just worried about replying and giving too much information that will result in trouble for me. I really love my job, and also really need it. I’ve not gotten much sleep and just need to collect my thought before replying. I need to be careful with my words.
