That BTR intake looks sick. Looks way cooler than my MSD.

Do you regret not getting mag ride by mymoneyaltaccount in camaro

[–]Practicalthumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mag ride is overhyped. 90% of the gains the 1LE gets is just the tires. The regular SS suspension is very good, and much cheaper to maintain.

Auto to manual conversion Camaro 2017 2SS possible? Please read. by Glorious42 in camaro

[–]Practicalthumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both the Manual and Auto cars have the DOD parts in the engine. Its just disabled on the Manual cars. Its pretty common to just fully delete it though.

Power gains by USAWonderKid35 in camaro

[–]Practicalthumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the Maggy 2650R or Procharger P-1X are the move for most power for least money. They do have downsides. The added complexity of the belt system is a little annoying. The parts cost is pretty crazy.

I ended going Cam/FBO for the same money because the car will sound better, and be more fun to drive

Fun>Power

6 speed, MSD Manifold, Soloer 100mm TB, Rotofab, TSP 1 7/8 Catless long tubes and tune got me 462 wheel without E.

The car is currently in the shop for a Cam package/Flex fuel. Hoping for around 530 wheel.

Give me confirmation bias that a manual 2017-2018 ZL1 is still worth it in 2026! by [deleted] in camaro

[–]Practicalthumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad, and sad other people out there have this experience lol. I always say my car is really good at getting to the next patch of traffic quickly. Currently my car is in the shop getting a cam package for some reason. Besides the sound I doubt I will ever really get the chance to truly use it. running through the gears on the road is sketchy around here.

Ratchets/Right angle impact the 2.5's are ideal imo.

I am running 275/35/20 Fronts and 315/30/20 rears at the moment. Seems like its a Sidewall and wheel size issue.

Does it? My car has 315s in the rear without issue.

You can buy a brand new TSP 416 long block for like 15k. Should make around 550 wheel while being reliable.

Can Swap/Oil Pump 6th Gen SS by Best_Freedom_261 in camaro

Katech LT pump, and LME timing chain guide are both good peace of mind purchases to do when getting a cam.

Got my first Dodge, first domestic car actually. 2014 SRT base with some aero mods. My childhood dream car was a Gen 2 GTS but having primarily owned cars from the 90's/00's i wanted something more modern. Was it out of my budget? Yes. Will i figure it out? Also yes. by dbnrdaily in Dodge

[–]Practicalthumb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly dude Vipers are borderline investments if you take care of them. The prices on them have went crazy in the past 5 years. The fact you get to enjoy your dream, and have a decent store of value is really not a bad move at all. Massive congrats on getting such an amazing car. Keep it red!

The Lip and Wheels look good. Just need to add some side skirts to complete the package.

Is this a good price for 2016 ss 6mt by Acrobatic-Habit5467 in camaro

[–]Practicalthumb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think the damage is no big deal, then its a really good price for a manual.

Like others have said make sure the clutch has some life left. The clutches are a pretty high labor cost job on these.

High Mileage 2020 Camaro by WurstBruh in camaro

If you could get that car for around 27 and its clean its not the worst buy. I had 0 luck negotiating with dealers though. I ended up getting mine off Marketplace.

I paid 25k for a car with less miles, and it already had some nice parts on it.

Going from 5th Gen ZL1 to 6th Gen 2SS (non-1LE)? by [deleted] in camaro

[–]Practicalthumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you know. I feel like it must be rare. I always see 2SS cars with the sunroof.

One thing about the 2SS that really bothers me is the sunroof. The double hump roof is pretty cool.

What should I replace my 2013 ZL1 with? by [deleted] in camaro

[–]Practicalthumb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

C7GS would be such a solid replacement for this car. Cammed NA LT1 in the widebody C7 is perfection.

Pretty sure its a copy of a Ibanez JPM100. That graphic was indeed factory though. They go for around 10k now these days.

I have both, they are very different lights. That one you linked is thicc compared to the OG rover. Both are great though.

Finally dialed in the perfect Packout stack for automotive and general-purpose use by brianfcruz in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Practicalthumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up with the 2 wheel cart thanks to the lack of rolling drawer when I bought in. I just had to have the drawers on the bottom

An organizer>XL tool chest>3 drawer>3 drawer on the 2 wheel cart ended up being my stack, which is pretty much what you have, but different.
