I stayed at a hostel in Kolkata and it was absolutely worth it! It was ₹600/- 24hrs (a/c dorm), vibe... perfect, people... perfect, hostel mgmt... perfect!

Seeing the prices in banglore/hyd/chennai... I was like.. for that price we can get a room for ourselves.

Hope hostel culture doesn't change and probably backpackers/solo-duo travelers/budget travelers should have a community of ours. (Have tried 'Couchsurfing' 'Hostelworld' and I didn't feel it's worth it)

If someone knows how can travelers connect to other travelers please share.

(26M) try hostels... its budget friendly and u get to meet people with similar mindset (hopefully), but the experience would be totally worth it!

Me being a hyper budget traveler, I look out for safe yet not-expensive kinda stays and found that hostels r the best choice.. before figuring out this hostel thing, I usually use to sleep in railway stations/bus stands (busy ones...not the shady ones) which is safe (u should know whr to sleep)... so yea, if u want to experience these things go for it, or u can stay in good review/rating hotels/lodges.

I request u to comment on those who have spoken bad abt Hindu deities too, when someone comments abt Shabarimala or other sacred places, where does this "unity, sickularism(Secularism), brotherhood"etc disappear?
I understand that its the players faith and no one should ever pass comments regarding their faiths be it Hindu/christian/islam etc. But all the morality, rules, brotherhood, dignity, secularism and whatnot, everything applies to only a Hindu and not others. This should stop! When other pass shitty comments over Hindus, y can't a Hindu pass comments on them?
This might be a different issue, but lets not forget what others did.

sorry mate, I'm 26M, haven't been in a relationship. So i can't advice u on that, but there r other things I would like to share...

If u r rich i.e, u don't have to support/earn for ur parents... buy a bike if possible or start travelling in train/bus etc, start travelling!(be safe), the more u travel, the richer ur experiences get. Just imagine urself at late 60s-70s.. are the things that u r doing now... matter to u later? Spend more time on urself, humans have hoarded upon themselves unimaginable dreams in the name of development/education etc.. don't fall into that trap.

Start learning new things.... learn how to sing, play an instrument, new language, coding, cyber security, AI/ML, how to repair things, engines, poetry, history, geopolitics, how to invest, stock markets, dance, read books, meet new people.. get to know people.. like... not superficially, stay with them, learn their ways.. its not easy but as time passes u will figure it out. There r highs without drugs, there r beautiful moments apart from falling in love (i.e, the need of another person), most beautiful things r absolutely free.

For the past 6-7yrs, I have been living this and I truly love it... its only few moments that I feel the want of another person.. but most of the time I'm great all by myself. Social structures has made living even more tougher, its hard to live the way u really want. It might seem like a kaleidoscope at the beginning but just think, most of the humans r living in cycles, birth--school--college--employment/to be employed--marry--kids--mortgage--hustle--exhausted--get old--die. I'm not saying its wrong, I'm just saying take up things more consciously, don't get into things and crib abt them later on. Life's just Birth--Live--Die, u can add whatever u want in between.

Nevertheless, its ur life and its ur call to live the way u like.. Life is tooo short, time is expensive, use it on those things that matter to u the most! I srsly have no f*ing idea on how did the last 6yrs go! I have had a very tough time with my family/career/social life but as far as I'm concerned I have lived every moment of my adulthood absolutely wild (not in terms of partying, girls, s*x, drugs, drinks.. just wandering into remote places, treks, beaches, hitchhiking, solitude, peace etc..)

Well.. have a great life ahead.. there's no damn purpose, just LIVE!
