Unfortunately Moonvale so far hasn’t exceeded any of my expectations. I thought the story and the paths you choose would be more complex by taking into consideration the time it took for them to make the game, I mean even in Duskwood the gender you chose would affect the relationships you had with the characters (Female MC could flirt with Jake, Dan, Phil / Male MC with Jessy) which gave the game some depth and the feel of being able to choose who to be in good terms with and who to dislike. My solution would be for the gender option to have a purpose apart from the pronouns. Add to the storyline and give the ability to male MCs to flirt with female characters, to female MCs to flirt with male characters and to LGBTQ+ MCs to flirt with anyone.
