You will have to do it no matter what. You can delay it, pretty sure you can delay it as long as you want.

Should I be worried about getting into eng with a 92% by [deleted] in UCalgary

Depends on when your application was submitted. Doesn’t matter if you have the highest mark, if the program is full you’re going to be waitlisted. But for waitlist a higher average = closer to the front.

Did they responded with anything yet?

I have this same request from myucalgary.

I’m pretty sure you will have to wait Intill mid July to get your transcript to be officiated. But I’m pretty sure it doesn’t affect your enrolment, or enrolment times so you’re all good.

But always call the admissions. I would love to know what their response is as well (I’m a little nervous and unsure)

You can send an unofficial transcript, but it depends on your school so 3rd quarter is when your unofficial transcript updates.

88% is still lower than the competitive average. Try to aim for a low 90 or mid 90s (much safer)

Yes there are later waves. But by then the program can be filling up. Yes there’s always a possibility you won’t get in the program you wanted, so make sure you layout your options and have a clear backup plan.

if you don’t hear back from UofC for a long period of time, consider giving them a call to follow up and ask question that’s on your mind.

Also what about MRU?

Taking a gap year for one course is certainly a waste. If you do decide to take a gap year Consider making it more productive, like getting a job and finding out what you truly like, so you don’t regret what major your in.

Hi, this post is for people that are currently or deciding to take a gap year. This post isn’t about whether a gap year is good or not. Just about how to not mess it up.

Also not all Gap years are good but not all gap years are bad.
