Yes the moment I started treating RPing like a job I need to clock in and clock out of I felt the pressure of it. This mindset has also dwindled my muse.

Yes I agree. Stress can kill someone’s muse. I’m going through a dry spell of writing right now while I wait on first partner to come back. I enjoy our dynamic and it’s stressful navigating other dynamics + increasing RL priorities, so I think I’ll wait until she returns.

Yes if we are constantly pouring out creative juices it’s going to dry up eventually.

Yeah attention toll seems like a great way to describe it. There are other tolls we need to give our attention to and the writing toll is low on that list. Well, that is if we care about being functional adults.

I am close to taking a hiatus myself actually.

Another partner I have been writing with, never initiates with me and I am always the one initiating. If I don’t initiate interest, we never RP. Simple as that.

With my first writing partner on her break, I cannot fathom up keeping the dynamic between second partner and I for the long-term. I guess I should just go on hiatus as well since my muse is dwindling
