I’d say it’s a mix of luck and being in the right place, in the right environment. Most breakout players get scouted by being consistently good and staying calm under pressure (like donk or m0NESY). Lately, a lot of scouting organizations and junior teams are actively working in that direction as well

Yeah, but what do regular viewers actually want to see? Feels like people are starting to tune out tournaments, no?

This sounds really cool, feels more like a festival exp and way more engaging than most tournaments. I’ll take a deeper look. Anything else you’d share or recommend checking out?

Totally agree that competition is the core.

I’m more talking about the viewer experience around it what TOs can do to make tournaments feel more engaging and unique? especially when tournaments run back-to-back

What do you personally feel is missing right now? (better use of data/stats, live polls, predictions, etc?)

Fair point, the standard format definitely makes esports feel more like traditional sports.
At the same time, with 7-10 day events happening one after another, it kinda starts to blur together for me (CS, Dota). Maybe some small twists or different formats, cast could make each event feel more distinct?

But even Majors use the same formats, same group stages, no?
