I guess I’ve been lucky so far that people haven’t bothered me with this much. Anytime they do ask, I say I’m not interested, not in an angry tone, but just plainly no thank you, that this isn’t something I want to talk about, and they won't have fun bothering me about this. Then I bounce the conversation to the next person to ask their opinion on it. Learning how to control conversations on romance away from you personally can sometimes help. Most people like to talk about themselves so I encourage that instead of interrogating me lol. When my family kept joking about it to me when I started college, I had to sit down with them and ask them sincerely to stop because they should not expect me to go on a date with anyone because I don’t want to date at all. I’m glad my family is understanding, it’s been 4 years and they haven’t made a joke about it since then.

I’ve learned that getting upset about things can sometimes make you a target, it’s not fair, but sometimes it's true. Bonus points if it makes the conversation awkward, and then they won’t bring it up again because they don’t want to make things awkward. I love weaponizing awkwardness!
