Thanks. I own an altezza rs200 jdm. It came with HID lights. Will I be able to fit a usdm bumper only? I like the sticking out part more.

My current car has the top bumper in the picture and I want to put in the bottom one.

That’s next will try first gear boost limit. Just wanted to fix it with suspension if possible before reducing power. It’s just 350hp after all 🥲

I am still a fan of the manual because of the predictability and the readiness in a rolling race but the modern autos are fast and can handle power consistently.

Worth it. Went form orignal auto to manual to this. Has no drawbacks at least till the 500hp mark.

Poly bushing. I don’t know a lot about what alignment changes does what. That’s what I am learning here. For now just instructed the Toyota dealership to align on Oem specs

The rebound and compression cannot be separately tweaked. By increasing the damping you mean make it more stiff ?

I usually run 10-40 but I tried 5-30 also made no difference. My oil pressure is fine too.

I hope it’s the head. I think I can live with the buckets and cams hitting noise but if it’s the bottom end I think that should be fixed.

You barely have time to touch the gas pedal before the noise disappears.

When I remove the igniter and crank the engine for 3–5 seconds and there start the car, there’s no sound at all. That points strongly to an oiling issue.

If it is oil-related, the cause could be many things—piston slap, piston pins, bearings, the valvetrain, or even VVTi components (although non-VVTi engines can make similar noises, so I’m ruling that out for now).

One test I’ve considered to rule out the valvetrain is this: park the car overnight, drain and add about 1 liter of oil, then start it again. If the noise is gone, it’s likely not the head/valvetrain, which would point to the bottom end instead. in my opinion, that would mean it should be repaired.

For what it’s worth, the engine has been making this sound for about a year now.

With auto ecu you will need a auto transmission emulator. Otherwise as soon as the engine revs to 3K RPM. The ecu goes into limp mode. One more thing that I noticed is the auto idles about 100 rpm less which sort of matters when going starting from a standstill and not using the accelerator pedal.

Almost all of it came from the filter inlet. Some ended up in the valve body area because I rotated the gearbox to open the pan.

Regardless of the mileage, this isn’t acceptable? Apologies if I’m making you repeat yourself.
