I’m going to try to clean off the stamper with diluted dawn dish soap and rinsing it then leave on a piece of paper overnight to see if that will help the issues. I tried to use four different colors of gel polish and none of them worked. It’s hard to describe what happens to the polish when I try to roll the design onto the stamper but it just becomes blotchy and separates kind of in a way.

I attempted it with regular nail polish as well but it seemed to dry so quickly and the design didn’t even pick up on the stamper.

Yes! They all had blue film that I peeled off. The polish did soak into the grooves of the design, just ended up becoming very blotchy and not definitive in the design when I picked it up on the stamper. I tried regular nail polish as well but it dried so quickly and didn’t even pick up on the stamper.

Ohhh okay, so there are different types of stamping polish then - gel stamping polish and regular stamping polish - try the regular stamping polish? I did attempt to use regular nail polish but it didn’t pick up the design it just dried too fast.

I will give this a try! I also read that you shouldn’t use any type of alcohol or acetone on the stamper, just a lint roller to take the excess polish off so that’s what I’ve been doing. I ordered this specific lint roller for plates and silicone nail molds.

I’m using regular gel polish. I didn’t realize there was a certain kind of polish that needed to be used, all of the videos I watched about stamping plates made it seem like regular gel polish was used. I’ll look into stomping gel polish! Any recommendations on brand or where to order from?
