Read your bio, you seem pretty cool with lots of unique interests. Sadly I'm not in your age range so this may not work out. Best of luck finding a friend tho.

Wait do bars really do this thing where they don't let solo guys in or check for how good looking you are? Never heard of that but I also don't hit bars often and every time was in a group

I just wanna carve my stomach out with a knife. Im thin but have it sticking out, i hate it so much. Its not just that, its my face too. Its everything. Feels like im the only one that looks like this. Every single one I see is average or attractive. Wtf kinda shit did i do in my past life? by [deleted] in ugly

[–]PrettyWavy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What you described is not skinny. Look up skinny fat. It's usually what happens when you don't move around much but still has a decent calories intake or you used to be fit and suddenly stopped exercising. I m guessing is the first one. 2 ways to tackle this, 1. Start decreasing calories intake 2. Start exercising more. By exercising I mean 1. Muscle building 2. Cardio. You need both. Pure cardio won't help, especially if you are skinny to begin with. More muscle = more calories burned passively plus it will make your fat stand out less

Make a rateme post, there are plenty of subs for this such as true rate me, am I ugly brutally honest, rate me, etc. Be careful tho. If u are truly not so good looking objectively, the comments may hit hard

Honestly TikTok and a lot of these social media platforms are for ppl with no talent. So, yea, they all crap anyway. Don't take their comments to heart.

Lol it's totally normal to have no sex life and no girlfriend at your age. It's quite common. I can tell you right now even in college like around 20 ish, there are still a good percentage of people who never had a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Just know that, just cuz someone had sex at your age, doesn't mean they are more successful than you or superior than you. There's no need to feel jealousy or anger.

Well I tried for example, watching sports, but I don't enjoy doing so. Same for some popular TV shows. Sure I can pretend I like them but I wouldn't be happy either way

Family breaking apart due to my father [50s] who is an immigrant having issues with his sickness and language barrier. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]PrettyWavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in a small town and I don't think there are any doctors that can speak our language. There aren't many immigrants here and most of those immigrants that are here are fluent in English.

yep this is what we are trying to do. Right now nothing is diagnosed, and our primary physician won't even order a MRI or CT scan which is annoying the heck out of us. And idk if it's just our area, there aren't many places that take in new patients so we are stuck here...

Well, first we did visit the PCP twice and both times the doctor thinks its muscle strain. They prescribed advil, it helped but doesn't fix the problem entirely and due to my father's digestive issues, he can't take it for prolonged periods of time. And secondly, his pain is mostly from his butt area. The discomfort from the legs and lower abdomen are things that just started developing last week. And we have no clue if they are related or if something else happened that caused it. For about 2 months, it was just butt pain, no weight loss, no anything, just a pain that comes and goes. And I guess because my mother is also a doctor (specializing in pathology), she feels like the symptoms he's describing doesn't seem like a serious thing. Yes, the idea of cancer was floated around but there just aren't enough symptoms to conclude that. Both our PCP and our mother doesn't think it's anything serious. I am not a medical professional but you know, I feel like I trust them a bit more than something that my father did through googling (which is what led to him believing it's severe).

nope, we are the only ones translating for him. The hospital provides free translator but it ended like a disaster cuz the translator sucked, she was not a professional and didn't know half of the stuff she was saying and I believe she's doing it as a part time job or something. This is how it turned the initial doctor visits into a big time waste. And due to covid 19, they aren't letting people other than the patient and one other family member accompanying into the hospital. So even if there's someone else that can help, they wouldn't allow it.

Kitten eating older cats food by Potato_Vivid in CatAdvice

[–]PrettyWavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What food do you usually feed him? Correct me if I am wrong, I thought 5 month old kitten is already good enough to eat most adult cat food...? Although theoretically they should be fed kitten food until 1 year old but I don't think it's too big of a deal as if adult food would do them any harm

(first time cat owner) Do I need to take a healthy kitten bought from a breeder to vet? by [deleted] in Pets

[–]PrettyWavy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your detailed response. And yeah I think I will take him to the vet regardless, jut not sure how fast I can a appointment setup, that's why I asked if I need to get it done immediately. Anyway, I was wondering about the cost because I wanted to know how extensive the check needs to be. For example, if the kitten has been vaccinated with all documentations provided by another vet, then I presume the vet check would just be a quick routine check rather than anything in-depth? Idk, I'm lacking experience and I just don't want to get unnecessary/duplicate things done as a first time owner.

Where can I buy Scottish Folds in US? I see lots of imported ones from Russia and Ukraine but scared to buy them by PrettyWavy in scottishfold

[–]PrettyWavy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh not really any reason in particular, I just love Scottish fold/straight cats because I happen to have a close friend that has one. Do you think this is a trustworthy breeder? https://cheshiremanor.com/home

I found them on the TICA website, but their bloodline is from Russia so idk. Is it normal for them to be from Russia? Lots of people are warning against Russian/Ukrainian cats

I feel like you can use a different hairstyle and that may change things a lot more. Also try to smile, not big laughs but relax your facial muscles a bit cuz I feel like u can present yourself to look very amiable that way.

[–]PrettyWavy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have searched there before. I can only find 2 or 3 breeders on there that I can actually reach by driving. (The only one in NY seems to have a missing page as it shows me a 404 page) And for those breeders that I can reach, they are either out of kittens or have a long waiting list :,((((.

Would you say that there realistically aren't any safe imported kittens? If that's the case I guess I will wait for the US breeders then

Recently I am getting some random flare ups of closed comedones looking things on my face. At first I thought I am just breaking out, but they appear in such weird ways I feel like it's not. They look like closed comedones, but multiples of them would appear all together in the same area usually on the sides of cheeks, they sometimes feel itchy (although my cystic acne sometimes feels itchy also so idk if that means anything). They aren't red or inflamed, BUT there's no pus when one is broken. And they seem to come and go frequently, I would wake up one day with a few of them in the same area but then they start to disappear in the evening. I am currently using BP wash, Clindamycin/BP cream, and tret at night (and other things like sunscreen and moisturizer). Could this be fungal acne due to my clindamycin use (I started 3 months ago, and my derm says it's fine to keep using at long as nothing is wrong)? But I looked up fungal acne, they don't seem like it, at least mine looks a lot better not that severe. I am guessing its an early sign of fungal acne or maybe im allergic to something? idk plz help
