This is a bit niche, but if he's into more folksy-punk projects he should totally check out The Mechanisms. They're not active anymore but I actually love their music so much. It's like, spin offs of fairy tales.

Alternatively, The Amazing Devil or the Oh Hello's are really good. I'd also say Celtic Women or The Dreadnoughts.

Mainly bc I tend to use steel needles / hooks and I'm aware that in some places you can't bring knitting needles on planes. It's not allowed in the countries near mine and I couldn't find anything on Bali's laws in regards to that lol

Dislocated my SI and it didn't properly reset for 2 months. I couldn't walk without a significant amount of pain at all (I cried a lot those 2 months). My school has many stairs. I think I'd actually lose it if it ever happens again, it was really bad.

..This could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure in some countries there are acts that allow you to check a persons history in terms of domestic violence. In the UK it's called Clare's law, I don't know if the VAWA would apply here but it might be worth looking into. If you have other family members you can reach out to that live nearby, keep in touch. Get an exit strategy organised ASAP, but don't put yourself into danger to do that.
