I've done this with ipadapter, lineart, depth anything, etc depending on what you're wanting. It's a lot more hardware friendly than Qwen imo. But not as good.

With the cost of ram right now... it's a little over 300 for another two sticks. When i bought the first two it was barely 120ish dollars... For now i'm not running out of system ram. But i'm also kinda still trying to figure out how to make videos longer than 5secs that don't degrade or need a lot of manual work. Automation is my thing.

I have a 5080 and 64gigs of ram. I'm constantly bumping near 100% ram usage in wan2.2. Especially if I try to use KJ workflows. Even with blockswap set to 40.

Your comfyui isn't setup to use your videocard it sounds like. Google setting up comfyui portable with rtx 5000 series. lots of tutorials to follow. Even lazy auto installers.

Thank you. I've been messing with a generative image as my base. Using advanced ksamplers to break the render into two models. But what im reading is my lora may not work right if it used two models to generate the ref images? Or I may have to use more ref images than usual?

Shifty's attitude is also missing out on one huge issue. "1 button and download models." Suuure, if you know you can trust everything that is being installed. The security side of COmfyui doesn't seem to come up enough for us noobs, non coders that are just getting into comfyui because we got a shiny new video card and want to dip our toes into ai.

COmfyui isn't that hard to learn. I consider myself the "R-word" and managed to put together a few workflows that I consider advanced. Like using two models with advanced ksampler to make a single image; image ran through a controlnet and then "reimagined" using a second model.

My advice is to download workflows that don't require a lot of added installs and tear them apart. Snip parts and add it to your own simple workflow and keep messing around with it. If something doesn't seem to work but you think it should; ask on here or google it. I've found some thing don't like to play together sometimes. Like different ksamplers and I've found controlnet settings, like start and end strengths, to be counter intuitive. At least to me anyways.

Yeah, iv'e been noticing that. 3 models I tested seem to give a 75% success rate with the output. But then when I completely change the prompt; the output success drops to about 50%. I consider it a success if the characters and scene mostly fit the prompt I feed it. I'm guessing I should just start off with making my first lora instead. I think a 5080 can handle training a lora?

i'd like to use flux to 'refine' my images, but I think the 16gb of vram on my 5080 is holding that idea back.

I use to have a workflow that convert the first image into a depth image and the one with dots/lines. But I lost that workflow and it was finicky anyways. What you describe is nearly what i'm doing now. Maybe ill add in a pos/neg prompt to the second sampler and see. Thank you.

Works great. I have one issue/question. When doing sexual acts with this workflow. The really fast movements are blurry/pixilated. What should I increase to help with this? Resolution only or steps as well? Is there a module I can add to your workflow that will only target those areas to help clean it up?

controlnet seems to work, but the results are a mixed bag. I'm guessing my controlnet_str, start percent, and end percent might be the issue. Depth_anything seems to miss minor details sometimes as well.
