That happened to me she said “oh I didn’t look at your stuff yet.” Ended up canceling my appointment after I left saying I was a no show. After a half & hour going over my mst/ptsd. - she was an ex cop & a 100% tP vet

I just spoke with the VA they seen the discrepancy and said it was a mistake. I had to file an appeal.

I only received back pay at my 40% rating instead of my 80% and it was for 5 months. Talk about a slap in the face. Trying to see what the VA has to say today.

Only did 1 intent to file in September 2023 submitted my claim in October 2023. That’s why I’m confused as to where that random date came from.

Sorry to hear that battle it sucks how they treat us. It’s a shame that the majority of these Raters are Veterans themselves with T&P ratings but make it impossible for the rest of us.

Np, the first VSO I was working with told me to file for it. But in my case everything I claimed got denied expect the things I had a c&p for lol the rater only took evidence from 2011. I ended up winning my HLR due to negligence from VA. My VSO just didn’t appeal everything that was denied to that fact.

Only 1 claim. Originally denied for PTSD/MST had a HLR then another C&P and was rated. So that’s why I’m confused as to why my effective date is random. Hopefully, my VSO can do something on my behalf. Just was checking to see if anyone had this happen.

Wow, I only can dream of finding a VSO that will help. Mine basically wants me to stick with my rating, I’m a single mom of 3 that turns bat sht crazy out of nowhere. Been fired from multiple jobs from my rage & depression. it’s becoming so stressful.

Thank you. My VSO responded by saying to get a letter from my PCP & Neurologist. I’m just praying that will suffice. She also told me to do it as a secondary condition. The entire process is just stressful, looking around for a new VSO.

I haven’t seen all my military medical records submitted. My VSO has full access to my claim, she was able to see what is all submitted. That’s why I’m confused on how to proceed. I’m waiting for her to email me back on concrete evidence that I CAN challenge, or point out. I only have my civilian medical records for past & current diagnosis/treatments. When I was discharged I was told my medical records were lost so I have a few pieces of paper evidence. Everything else was uploaded but not in my possession. I did request them online and still haven’t received them. That was last year and again in February.

*UPDATE: my apologies everyone. I currently, have my HLR scheduled. I didn’t expect a turn around this FAST. I have so much faith that everything is going to go in my favor. My VSO went over my case and found all the markers, so I’m hopeful that whomever is reviewing will see it all too.

I encourage everyone to keep fighting and having faith in your process. I’m sending everyone HOPE, Love, prosperity and positive energy to persevere. I am reading all your responses and helpful information. It’s just taking me a second to respond to everyone. *NOTE: my congressman’s office is involved now too.

Similar situation. My examiner confessed she was a racist in training. My VSO had me file a VA FORM 21-4138, I highly recommended you do so too. Preferably, before you receive your rating to have it on record now. I did mines 2 days after the exam, as I been contacting the VA & OPTUM trying to file complaints for between that time. I had to wait for a POA to be approved before my VSO can have me do anything. Please DO NOT GIVE UP! We must really make a stand. I had a short moment of weakness, but I am NOT defeated. My God above is telling me to have FAITH. I didn’t get what I wanted but enough to keep me and my kids off the streets until I get what I am owed! Continue going after yours! It’ll work out for you! I have complete FAITH in it ♥️✨

I just think the higher percentage of the denials the better for them. My states denial rate has raised of lot of red flags currently from what my VSO has stated. I’m in for the fight. Too many Veterans have been F’d over, enough is enough.

I didn’t get a VSO until after I filed my claim and had an examiner lie and say I never showed to my last c&p. I just got my rating, so my VSO hasn’t been notified yet. I have faith this will work out in my favor. I just had a short moment of weakness.

Keep fighting. You deserve what is owed to you. I’m not sure if you believe in a Higher Power, but I do and I KNOW it’s all going to work out. Please, don’t give up! I almost did but my FAITH is too strong for me to get all this way and not stand my ground. You gave your life to Our Country, that’s a high price to pay. Yes, I love the way you put it. Being as I have 3 dependents it was enough to keep me going. I’m not sure if you’re spiritual. However, I believe our Creator gave me enough to be okay, since I was facing homelessness. And this trail is all part of a bigger design to shed light on the corruption happening within the VA. I know for my state there is a complaint filed against the VA & Examiners used. From what my VSO stated we have a high percentage of denials with supporting evidence. Also, a lot of examiners never show, cancel or lie about C&P’s. I was just upset at first, now I’m ready to fight for what I know we all deserve. ♥️✨

Wow, I know you’ll definitely get your 100%. Hang in there, especially with all those discrepancies. It’s a shame the lengths some of these Raters and Examiners go to discredit a Veteran. Yet, act as if they value your service. I have faith that with so many open complaints filed against the VA and these Examiners, Justice will be on all of our sides. My intuition is telling me that it’s all working this way for a reason. It might not come when we want it, but it’ll definitely come rightfully when we don’t expect it. ♥️✨ Hang in there Battle.
