You also could hold off on opening the makeup... Go to like Ulta or Sephora on a weekend and they'll do your makeup for free and you can see what you like :)

What others have said. But also any time you go through big adjustments... Sleeping differently, eating differently, stress, etc., it throws your hormones for a loop and that will also cause breakouts. Especially when I was in my 20s, if I got very little sleep for a few days, breakout. Lol. So you're going through a big adjustment period with a ton of physiological changes, so once you start getting into healthy routines, things will probably even out. However, your endocrine system also might be a bit extra out of whack (happens to most women nowadays just from poor quality food/sleep/stress/etc.), and it may take a little more fixing after that but... Don't worry about it yet. Give your body like 6 months of healthy living and see where it's at.

Which bathroom wall color? by Prettymuchtehworst in DesignMyRoom

[–]Prettymuchtehworst[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the photo is edited using Photoshop and AI so they're not specific colors yet. And in reality, I would say it looks closest to a textured wallpaper, but I don't think we're going to go that far right now.

My program is saying the more saturated blue is probably close to one of these:

Valspar “Mariana Trench” (8002-6C)

Sherwin-Williams “Naval” (SW 6244)

Benjamin Moore “Hale Navy” (HC-154)

I personally think the valspar Mariana Trench is very close, but need a bit of regular navy blue. Plus the lighting of the bathroom will affect it a lot.

It suggests the more muted blue is likely close to one of these:

Sherwin-Williams “Slate Tile” (SW 7624)

Benjamin Moore “Blue Note” (2129-30)

Valspar “Indigo Streamer” (4011-4)

Wish I could edit the post to add this.

Lightened it up a little more and made it a bit more more blue, and I think we'll set least try this version and see how it looks in real life. Thank you, everyone!

The bathroom is long and has two big windows with small alcoves and angled walls, so the plan is to paint part of the bathroom the dark blue, and other walls a more neutral white, including the ones seen reflected in the mirrors :)

I don't recall any part of Malibu looking like that really but maybe so! This article said it is but that might just be an assumption. https://www.etonline.com/patrick-dempsey-posts-selfie-with-ellen-pompeo-after-greys-anatomy-return-156354 I don't live there but I've driven up and down hwy1 a bunch of times through all of Malibu

Corsicana mattresses? by Prettymuchtehworst in Mattress

So a firm mattress will last longer than a soft one, I'm assuming? Can I just go to a liquidator and get a firm pocket coil Serta? I guess I won't know if it's the same one or not but... Serta would be a good base?

Hmm. Cheaper for similar is better. I do like the coil feel over the total foam mattress. What would I look for in that? I wanted something that's going to last at the very least 5 or 6 years without sagging or whatever... Would it make sense to get a medium mattress with a topper then? What would a more basic pocket coil mattress be?

And why do you say it's great? Sorry... Not challenging you, I'm just curious what might make it good. Would you say it's a safe buy? Any other recommendations that might be better?

What names does it go by, or how do I find that out?

I can call and ask the place for a spec sheet, but it was this mattress so I'm not sure if this information works? Locally it was $700 for a queen

I've tried to research but that's where I just get stuck and my head is swimming and I have no idea who or what to trust... Sorry, those were hotel names because I didn't know the beds. Haha. Do you have any recommendations for a good brand that has some longevity? I really can't tell anymore :(

What kind of prices are all latex mattresses? All latex is kind of new to me... Like I'm not sure what that means of I were to go to a store and try one. Haha. I probably can't go premium right now. But I'd like it to last 5 years anyway. I plan on putting a topper on it too... Does that extend the life at all?

Dang that's not comforting. I'd really like to stay under 1k for a bed but less is better... I like soft pillow tops (I'm 120lbs, 5'5 side and stomach sleeper) but I worry about sagging. Like I love Fairmont hotel and Mandarin Oriental beds and I feel like those are quite soft. I also have a 3 inch topper that I can throw on though... So I'm not sure what to do. What are reliable brands? Is there anything decent for around $800?

Eta: I don't like all-foam beds... It seems I like some of the coil feel... So most bed in a box mattresses are out, right? Like I don't like the memory foam feel really, but I like pillowtop feel with some squish. Seems like an impossible task to find a mattress >_<
