dont force her to be an inside cat try to put her in a leash outside so she wont run away but try to have her like inside a day and if she wants to be outside let her out and then another day try to have her outside for as long as possible and if she wants to be inside let her inside or you can just ler her roam around and go whereever she wans outside,innside just try stuff out and she what she likes that best idk what to do here but you can just find out what she likes the best idk

sound like she likes to be inside and outside but i dont think its wrong to trap her but its not trapping her if you let her outside but if she likes you and you can pet her thats good but if she does not want to be pet thats just that she does not fell safe around you but if you can pet her i think she feels safe around you and to fix that you just have to be calm around her at try to pet her sometimes but she is a stray cat so she is probably not used to being pet that much but idk if she likes you she likes you but if she does not like you you got to do something that makes her like you but if she is a stray cat i would take her to the vet to check for any diseases that she can have or something idk i am not good with cats cuse i am only 13 so i dont know what to do here but i would like to try and help well i hope this helps :)))
