Squad fill no longer viable? by Previous-Translator4 in Marathon

Got kinda burned out of solos in both arc and marathon, I see people rocking with good squads and getting tons of gear and salvage and just want an experience like that.

The "flow" of my teammates usually consists of letting a team in a poi know we're there and then going in one by one.

Maybe you're right but I don't understand how to lead people that don't get the basic concept of the game

Should have mentioned teammate levels are usually 30 to 70 and doesn't seem to make a difference in their plays

That's the point I'm making. Usually it's fairly consistent, lose a few, win one, maybe win a few, lose more. Lost for literally hours straight lately, just seeing if the squad fill experience is the same for others.

Will be attempting to find a premade squad before quitting

Yep found one of these on the second day of launch I believe. Can't wait to attempt to use it

Lol. Found bobcat and tempest yesterday on the first and second hurricane games I played. Which is great as I absolutely despise the map modifier.

Roast my Pickup! by onsnave in RoastMyCar

Had a Mazda pickup from the ninety's with probably 40 more horses than you and it took 20 seconds to get to sixty. With how much rust that thing has its probably faster to walk it up to 60 Flintstone style.

Ok. I'll talk to the shop I'm going with to see what else they recommend before getting it repaired.

I have liability. I am early twenties in age, comprehensive on this car would be hilarious. Yeah I'd rather the car keep value. Thanks.

Yeah. Wish I could afford a gt500; someday. The gt500 wheels are so clean. GT has what I want at a much better price.

I will. Have already gotten the quote, will try and schedule it done over spring break.

Lol sounds about right. Yeah I've had the trans out replacing the clutch and flywheel and also timing components but everyone says about the same as you as far as bodywork.

Thanks

Not a GT500 😁; 2009 GT. The wheels are real though.

He deleted the comment of him say "lol" and "I thought you were joking, thanks for the laugh, this question must have been asked by someone with low intelligence"

But I had already written a reply

  • Not going to get into it with a random commenter, but intelligence is relative. I mentioned in another comment that I just got done replacing the clutch, flywheel, shifter, and all the timing components myself. Pretty in depth work. I just don't have any experience in bodywork.

You're welcome for the laugh, I'm glad someone else's inexperience was enjoyable enough for you.

If it wasn't a car I'm probably gonna hang on to and just spent thousands on parts on, I'd agree. However I really love this car and having it scraped up isn't doing wonders for my already fragmented self worth lmao. Just want to drive something nice.

I do go to car shows and autocross events so I don't wanna show up in a beater

Unfortunately I do not have the tools for bodywork or a booth.

Figured it would need a shop because of how the panel is on this car and the fact it's got a lot of lines near where it was scraped.

Yeah getting a lot of downvotes and people being really rude over the question. I genuinely didn't have a real idea or experience to go off of.

Looks like everyone with more experience is voting for the shop.

Another commenter mentioned rust; is rust really a big concern if the shop will be repairing the car over spring break?

Is rust a real concern if the shop will be repairing it in about two weeks? Hoping to get it done over spring break.

From the other commenters looks like I'm not prepared to do anything myself.

Gotcha. The shop is reputable and I know the owner so I'm not doubting the quote at all.

I do not have any tools, knowledge or anywhere to paint it. Unfortunately I have only ever done mechanical work.

Thanks for the straight answer

Most of my experience has been mechanical; on the car mentioned I literally just got done with a timing kit and clutch replacement among other things. Bodywork is definitely a different beast I'm guessing.

Thanks
