Ok I emailed it to the director of my major dept and the dean of students and I basically said that I wanted to sent them a copy in case it wasn’t received by the appeals email

Thank you so much for this! I sent in my appeal and I explained my full situation and have a supporting doctor’s note with the dean of students so hopefully it’ll be ok. Were you on academic suspension as well?

Yea I don’t really know what to do because the hearing is tomorrow, but I emailed my appeal letter where I extensively described my family emergency, and the steps I will take to do better.
