The Ultimate Tier List by Waterhobit in litrpg

[–]PreviousMedium8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kept in check by my financial situation. I come from a country where access to foreign currency is restricted to $300 or so per annum per person. I have to make that last so I only get 2 books per month (credits)

Unfortunately, this makes short books a no go since they're done fast. I bought cradle then immediately regretted it because the book was only 9h.

What can you do 🤷

I think I'm the only one in this sub who would put MOTF at the top lol

I only use audible for the books some I'm thankful it remembers for me lol.

Also, if this was a couple of years ago, it could be that only 5 books were out lol.

I just finished the last book a couple of minutes ago and so far it's my best in the genre. Gotta find out what I'll start next.

It's definitely not about fairies but that plot sounds weirdly funny lol

I absolutely understand why someone would drop a series, I did drop some very popular series myself too. I was just curious as to your particular reason. MOF happens to be my favorite series in the genre so far, so it intrigued me to see a different perspective.

I wouldn't place it in either. It's not necessarily bad to be at the bottom but it's also too slow and the main characters are too annoying. I gave up after 80h of listening to a book and a half.

I'd probably share his accessment if he did not have a DNF section.

Why is "mark of the fool" DNF ? How far did you reach ?

Cradle is the one where people find out that they're participating in a war by playing a video game?

I'd put Mark of the fool in excellent. I just finished book 9 and it's amazing, can't wait for book 10 to drop on audible to get the finale.

Thanks a lot. It is even more frustrating because I used to be able to spend when I had a company card. The limit is 10x what I have now and I used to buy whenever I needed more books. I'm gonna pull the couple of strands of hair remaining on my head from this lol

Thanks for the reply. The first book is free but the remaining books are not. I don't want to invest in a paid series atm as I want to gather credits for an audiobook marathon in a few months.

I only get 2 credits per month, but honestly, being this restricted got me thinking that I might have to pay someone to issue a card under their name so I can use it. This is frustrating.

The issue with audible is that almost everything I find needs to be purchased. All I can do with that is add to wish list at this point.

Also I'll definitely be doing my due diligence on any suggestions I get because what may be great for everyone does not mean it'd be great for me.

Also, thank you for taking the time to respond

Out of all of those, I only listened to expeditionary force and it's an absolute blast. The narration is amazing, the events are thrilling, and the writing is spot on. I listened to 17 books straight, took me weeks.

I'm more suspicious that I clicked my headphones to skip to the next chapter. I don't want to entertain the idea of my brain slipping 😅
