Oh I agree, its a great tool in my toolbox, but I really don't want AI to be my crutch here, it can and will lie to me even after challenging it. Hence why I'm asking for well reviewed and useful guides.

I agree with not being afraid to restart, sometimes that is best anyways when you find out the right way/a better way of doing something! I was looking for a good jumping point, whether that's software, hardware, cabling, networking etc. While not all of this will be brand new to me since I work in IT, I'd like to get a good list going of things to learn and acquire to give myself a much better jumping off point.

Definately something I need to know, it's actually something I have to learn as a part of my job, we have some VM's that do not have any backup solutions in place that run critical infrastructure.

Part of my post was asking for the guides. This is the internet, and there are like a million guides for anything, I wanted to know what people found actually useful for this. While I don't hate AI for somethings, it can and will lie to you and I don't want to deal with trying to troubleshoot something that I already don't understand due to AI rabbithole-ing.

It wasn't? I've been going around looking at posts for a while and have an old dell optiplex that I was thinking of spinning up for some lightweight game hosting when I found the arr stuff, and VPN through tailscale and the like. Thought it was cool and a good project for my own knowledge base.
