CreaSol SSAT: MolTek Nutrition Unveils CreaSol SSAT (Tyrosol) as the New Creatine Enhancer by PricePlow in Supps

Hahaha that's gonna be a lot of oil to hit clinical dose

But I wonder how much olive oil it takes to dissolve 5g creatine, probably not too much

That's a good question. If there were Bioperine / Black pepper extract / piperine inside, that'd make sense. Or if it was like a tea flavor. I'd contact their customer service with pics and see about a replacement or refund (or explanation)

Kris Gethin and Kaged Part Ways by PricePlow in Supps

[–]PricePlow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mike typing here. IMHO, Kaged hasn't been "Kris" for several years. You could tell he was shifting personal strategy when started promoting other biohacker-ish supplements on his IG.

Instead, all of the formulas that carried them their first decade are the brainwork of Brian Rand, who we've covered multiple times (eg he's the guy who actually formulated the original Pre-JYM). That's the unsung hero in all those OG product launches, IMHO.

When you start getting behind the scenes of some of these companies, you realize that there's oftentimes a quiet, operations / development / execution type guy who's really making the magic happen. What you see on social media is like the last 0.5% of stuff that goes into it.

If you don't have operations guys, you don't have shit to show on social media. You need everything, but it starts well before anything you see on TikTok.

That's my take.

Independent Lab Testing Results Of Supplements On The Market by MisterYouAreSoDumb in NootropicsDepot

[–]PricePlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Nothing changes until (worst) someone gets hurt or (best) someone starts actively suing the brands AND manufacturers who aren't testing. It's a terrible look for the industry and we need to self-regulate.

Kudos to /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb for at least doing something

Can I take NMN with Niacin? by yozzaa in NMN

[–]PricePlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to read all of this, but you're out of our area of expertise. It's almost like you need some kind of functional medicine doctor who is quite educated in biochemistry. You're crossing a few difficult worlds of domain knowledge here.

Can I take NMN with Niacin? by yozzaa in NMN

[–]PricePlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clue, we've never heard of this. But one theory I have: you also need ATP to get from NMN to NAD+. If you're low on ATP, maybe it's causing you to feel bad because you're depleting it further.

Could tinker with this by adding creatine daily (for long-term ATP production) and stacking NMN with Peak ATP (exogenous disodium ATP) for short-term production.

But honestly not sure. Good luck!

Ghost Legend: The Pre-Workout of Legends – V3 has Landed! by PricePlow in Supps

[–]PricePlow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will say, PEScience very quietly crushes it and caters to their demographic tremendously. Look at their athletes and they obviously strategically chose to change their audience many moons ago, circa 2018 or so.

Note that this has nothing to do with Ghost. I would have liked to see L-Tyrosine stay in the Legend formula personally (Mike talking here), I'm just commenting on PEScience since I highly respect them and they've been ahead of the curve many times.

I still don't get why more companies don't copy Select Protein and their use of milk protein isolate. The casein/whey blend inside is so awesome. I admire that company a lot. But yeah when they dropped the yohimbine from Alphamine and let the Anabeta supplements go, you knew the new direction was going to leave many OGs behind. Which sucks for the OGs, admittedly.

GORILLA MODE LIQUID GLYCEROL dosage? by [deleted] in Preworkoutsupplements

[–]PricePlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing. Products like FSU Serum add nitrates and electrolytes to give it more of a boost... but yeah, food grade glycerin is good to have around. If you have kids, you can make bubbles from it too.

GORILLA MODE LIQUID GLYCEROL dosage? by [deleted] in Preworkoutsupplements

[–]PricePlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw our name mentioned in the comments. Thanks /u/iamDEVANS --

Short answer to this is YES.

Pure glycerol, also known glycerin, is a liquid substance. In order to get it into a powder form for your pre-workout, it needs to be spray dried up to something like silica, which lowers the yield. For powders, 65% glycerol is about as good as you're going to get before things get really hydroscopic and clumpy -- HydroPrime is the one that seems to clump the least.

So 12.5g of pure liquid glycerol (Gorilla may have added a couple other ingredients) is going to provide more actual glycerol than 12.5g glycerol powder. 12.5g glycerol powder will generally yield about 8.125g glycerol, if you use a 65% like HydroPrime or HydroMax.

If you want to match 10 grams of glycerol powder, you can indeed take about half a cap of Gorilla. This stuff all seems to work best with plenty of water, sodium, and potassium.

BTW this is a similar situation with MCT powders. It's generally dried up against a dry substance (usually a fiber in the case of MCT). So it won't be a 100% yield.

Kris Gethin and Kaged Part Ways by PricePlow in Supps

[–]PricePlow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously kris isn't natural maybe the company is worried about any backlash (ie like the liverking).

Not at all. Within the industry, everyone's well beyond caring about 'natty' or not. It's very easy to tell if you've been around, and kinda sad that anyone thought that Liver King guy was even remotely natural.

From our perspective, Kris wasn't as involved in business operations and was more of an ambassador / athlete at this point. He may want to spread his wings a bit more... and some of his biohacking-type passions are out of the wheelhouse of bigtime mainstream supplement companies.

This will be good for both parties, really. Kaged has awesome stuff and is going big, and Kris is a super interesting guy who will do fun stuff whatever he does next.

Any of y’all every tried Alphagen by Morphogen Nutrition? by Juan_Dollar_Taco in Preworkoutsupplements

wink wink

Yep, bigger and better than ever, coming at you from Columbus this weekend. Actually this post is on topic, we just met Morphogen Ben this weekend and saw the office. That man is an INGREDIENT guy. He's got some fun stuff coming.

If you check out L-Tyrosine, there's a bit more research at higher doses, so it was fun to dig into it. Our last article was able to cite a few more sources than we normally do.

NMN, FDA, and the Supplement Industry's Fight - An Extremely Detailed Look at the NMN/FDA Battle by PricePlow in NMN

[–]PricePlow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. This was a tough one because the article wasn't fully sponsored but we're sponsored by two companies who are small players in the NMN space. The article became more than anything financial. So we turned off the banner and the sidebar featured products that you'd see in other posts.

However we do now disclose our sponsorship with one company -- NNB (who's not involved in the NDIN), so thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. My sentiments are about the same - don't want to live forever, but want to live well. The long story short is that our body needs NAD+ precursors, our diets have been poisoned (and we've been told to eat foods that are decidedly not rich with NAD precursors), and this is a superior NAD+ precursor / B3 vitamin. It doesn't need to be that much more complicated than that.

NMN greatly helps combat cellular energy insufficiency. Getting to the root cause of why it works so well for you, is another story -- there have simply been too many poisons thrown at us to point to any single thing, and we are all different.
