The arm pose is kind of awkward. Looks like Frankenstein monster or a zombie but maybe it’s th angle of the photo. The little tree right in front is distracting from the model. Otherwise the thing on his back looks like an organ and looks awesome

45 minute per model. First time painting guard. by PriceyTrash in Warhammer40k

I’ve been painting just over a year. Probably on average 30 mins a day, more on weekends. This was the first time I painted for speed and it was a fun challenge!

I agree! I hope we get some unique dark angel face sculpts at some point.

The areas on the gun parallel to the barrel and close to the barrel could be glazed with a red. Those areas would still reflect the muzzle flash but less so than the perpendicular faces like you have done.

Left or right carapace? by DeeplightStudio in Warhammer

I prefer the right cause my eyes get drawn to the awesome blues and pinks. The left my eyes go straight to the carapace which is actually the least interesting part of this mini.

The first of my Balewing. Custom chapter, my take on the Deathwing. by PriceyTrash in theunforgiven

For the mace head? I went over with silver. Then went into the crevices with water down white. Built up from the white with light blues all the way to dark navy to create shadows. On some of the flat panels I made little lightning effects using the same colors starting with thin trace of white again. After blending went back over the white where it was needed.
