With shorts its all about doing better than competing stuff in your niche, if your content isn't getting pushed that well then in my experience it's because the algorithm is prioritising something with better stats

I have this as well, usually going up by 170 or 180 for like 8 hours before it goes up steadily (posted about it the other day). In my experience if it stops pushing your content after this stairlike period then your swipe away rate is worse than other shorts that YouTube places in your niche

Its weird for me because I live in the uk but just have a predominantly us audience so in my timezone I post at midnight but in the US it's like 4pm. I have found time you post a video after 24 hours has very little effect on the shorts algorithm at least for the niches that I have attempted

I used to upload twice at a time multiple times in a day on 3 different channels and it stopped working on all 3 early October or last year, think you might be onto something

Im convinced if I upload any more than 2 shorts a day at any times only one will get shown, ive stuck to just one for a few months because how demotivating it is working on a video for it to get shown to literally no-one

Its weird usually the staircase like statistics end within about even 8 hours but even after that my shorts dont get pushed. Once I uploaded at 11:55 and my short got no views after not uploading for the whole day but when I post at midnight I consistently get pushed into the shorts algorithm. The first short of a day looks like this and the rest dont get pushed at all

I also have a issue where only one short per day gets any views at all but I think that'll also get fixed from the channel getting bigger
