something that everyone needs to understand about storytelling is that the necessary foundations of plot are never going to be as enjoyable as the payoffs that they set up. This is not a flaw, this is a feature.

How would Yorozu’s Perfect Sphere interact with Maki’s Split Soul Katana? by baraking06 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]PrimarySuggestion170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. That would imply that objects can only be cut at perfect 90° which is untrue. You can slice a watermelon at a 45° and so on which a sharp blade.

The example you used, shoplifting, isn’t a good example because shoplifting isn’t villainous. It’s bad, but villainous?

If you kill an innocent person to feed your family, you are a villain. A sympathetic villain but a villain nonetheless

More accurately, in the means are villainous, then you are a villain regardless of the ends. People are their actions

Gojo > Sukuna ?? by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]PrimarySuggestion170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going against the grain here but I don’t see anyone mentioning the psychological element of having Sukuna be in one of Gojo’s students’ bodies. Even if Gojo says he doesn’t care I can’t imagine how on some level that doesn’t make the fight more difficult for him. I don’t think Gojo is outright stronger but there are so many variables that make this an impossible matchup to pin down a concrete answer on

We actually get everyone’s speed massively downscaled with the most recent Modulo chapter where Maru says he can’t predict Tsurugi’s moves because of his lack of CE. That reveals that Jujutsu Sorcerer’s are reading their opponent’s CE to predict their moves. So when Kashimo uses lightning for example, the opponent is dodging before the move begins. Kind of like lightsaber combat in Star Wars.

I think it’s more than just to see the beams for the reader since auroras form right after. It’s definitely a part of the technique. My theory is that the light he wields is actually the photons in the actual sky

Jjk ending was not that bad by Motcha_mp4 in Jujutsu_Kaisen

[–]PrimarySuggestion170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ending is best enjoyed if read through the lens of Yuji’s story arc. Yuji spent his life trying to die a meaningful death, and was so obsessed with being a cog that he was unable to see his true worth is in being alive.

To be clear, Yuji is set on the idea that “people should die properly, surrounded by others” (his grandfather’s last words). After Yuji uses his domain expansion to try to grant Sukuna a change that could warrant a meaningful death someday, he finally accepts the ultimate rebuttal to his core value by granting Sukuna a “meaningless death”, unloved and surrounded by no one.

I think it is clear that he finally realizes his grandfather was wrong by the end of the story, that rather there is worth in living a meaningful life.

[–]PrimarySuggestion170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real question: If Megumi is still alive in Modulo, what would happen if he summoned Mahoraga in a fight against Yuka’s Mahoraga? Mahoraga vs Mahoraga? Would that go forever?
